“What Has Been Your Contribution That You Want To Disband The FPI?”

.

JAKARTA – Amidst the pressure by some people who demand for the disbandment of the FPI, Ustadz Ferry Nur, on the other hand, asked those who demand for the disbandment of the FPI, “what have you done for the nation all these time that you dare to demand for the disbandment of the FPI?”

The roles of the FPI that I know of all these time, while following their activities, are very important and very much needed by the ummah. It is they who consistently eradicate the immoralities that happen in the midst the ummah,” said Ustadz Ferry Nur, chairman of KISPA (Indonesia's Committee For Solidarity With Palestine).

They (the FPI – ed.) were also the ones who became the foremost volunteers whom, I admit and know of, were the most active post-Aceh Tsunami. No other volunteers dared to bury thousands of dead bodies before the FPI volunteers stepped in,” he told MuslimDaily.net when contacted via telephone Thursday afternoon (16/02/12).

In fact I witnessed firsthand how Habib Rizieq himself participated as a volunteer during the Aceh tsunami. He was even willing to sleep in the middle of the 'Tomb of the Heroes' park during a break in Aceh,” he remembered.

During a major flood disaster in Jakarta a few years ago, many of the houses and settlements were submerged in the flood in the area of Petamburan – Central Jakarta. It was the FPI volunteers who first came to lend a hand to evacuate and give assistance. Habib Rizieq also personally participated,” explained this Ustadz who often go back and forth between Indonesia-Palestine as a volunteer .

In the meantime, what and where are the real acts provided all these years by the people in the camp that demands for the disbandment of the FPI?” he asked rhetorically.

My conclusion is that, they who demand for the disbandment of the FPI come from the circles that are cynical towards the FPI. In fact, most likely, this is just a scenario of “an order” from their donors overseas, who wish to see the Islamic organizations – the busters of immoralities such as the FPI, eradicated,” he explained.

At the end of the message, Ustadz Ferry Nur urged all Muslims to pray for the wellbeing of the FPI.

"The virtue of praying for a brother as in the hadith from Abu Darda (RA), that he had heard Rasulullah Sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam saying: 'None of the Muslims who pray for the wellbeing of his brother when that brother is not with him, except that an angel who is assigned will say, "May you be given the same too"' advised Ustadz Ferry Nur to the ummah through MuslimDaily.Net.

The do'a of a Muslim for his brother, when that of his brother is not around, is one of the do'as that is answered. Besides him is a messenger angel, every time he says a good prayer for his brother, the angel says: 'Amen, and may Allah grant you the same’," he said.

KH. Kholil Ridwan: Indonesia Without The SEPILIS

The movement, "Indonesia Without JIL", which expands in the social network of the cyber world and that which is going to become a real action on the ground, received many positive responses. Chairman of Majelis Ulama' of Indonesia (MUI), KH. Ahmad Kholil Ridwan supports the “Indonesia Without JIL” movement. Even more than that, he proposed that the name of the movement is not limited to voicing out the rejection of the JIL only.

"I agree but if possible it's not 'without the JIL' but 'without the SEPILIS'," said Kiyai Kholil who explained that SEPILIS is secularism, pluralism and liberalism.

Kiyai Kholil assessed that, the JIL in fact has long gone from its movement, because the JIL has already lost its funding. So according to him, there is no need to make an issue of the JIL as an institution.

"The JIL is already non-existent, what we reject right away is just its liberalism, the JIL is only an institution," he said.

He added that, the term SEPILIS is already fairly well known to the Muslims and is more dangerous than just the JIL itself.

"So, I propose the name 'Indonesia Without SEPILIS', as it is more extensive," Kiyai Kholil explained to arrahmah.com, Jakarta, Friday (24/2).

As is known, the rejection by a mob of thugs against the FPI in Palangkaraya, was made as a momentum by some liberal group to reject the existence of the FPI by holding a demo at the HI roundabout in Central Jakarta.

It made many Muslims respond by giving supports to the FPI. Besides that, groups which are mostly made up of Muslim activists and which have an account in the twitter and facebook social network, are supporting the FPI by creating a hash tag #IndonesiaTanpaJIL (Indonesia Without JIL). This movement is campaigning for Indonesia to be clean from the thinkings of the JIL. This group also created a 32 second long video which was uploaded in youtube. By using the icon of Fauzi Baadila, who is known to be hostile towards the thinkings of the JIL, the group is promoting an anti-JIL campaign.

Ustadz Dr. Muinudinillah, M.A.: It Is Wajib For An Ulama' To Conduct Amar Ma’ruf Nahi Munkar

SOLO, Indonesia – Amidst the disbandment issue and the storm that hit the FPI (Islamic Defenders Front), which is under the leadership of Habib Rizieq Syihab, that comes from the Front Pembela Kesesatan (FPK) or Misguidance Defenders Front, consisting of the Secular (JIL), Homosexuals, Lesbians, hordes of people who are Anti-Islam and other circles similar to them, as well as supported by the power of the super sophisticated Propaganda of today, namely the media, be it the print or electronic media.

Apparently this does not make the society and particularly the da’ies, asatidz, as well as ulama's, avoid and oppose the FPI. In fact, they are even increasingly open in giving their support and defense for the FPI, which in reality was the VICTIM in the incident that happened in Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan, some time ago.

After some figures from a wide variety of Islamic elements, whether they are in the Government or outside of the Government of this country, such as Ustadz Abu Bakar Ba’asyir, KH. Arifin Ilham, Abu Bakar Al Habsy (members of the HOUSE of REPRESENTATIVES Commission III ), La Ode Ida (Vice Chairman of Local Councils) and the last and latest was the support from the Advisory Boardof GP. Ansor, Choirul Anam, and others… now the support for the FPI comes from the academics, one of them was Ustadz Dr. Muinudinillah Bashri, M.A. Post Ggraduate Lecturer at University Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS Solo)-cum-General Director of Tahfizul Qur’an Ibnu ‘Abbas Pesantren, Klaten, Central Java.

This was delivered by Ustadz Muin -as he is familiarly addressed- in the Book Review event for the Book “Portraits Of The Ulama's – Between The Consistent And The Bootlickers (transl.)” at masjid Baitul Makmur, Solo, 19th February 2012. Another speaker in the event was Ustadz Abu Rusydan from Kudus.

This event which was organized by the publisher, Jazeera Solo, commenced at 08.30 until 11.30 local time, and attended by around 500+ male and female jama’ahs, as well as a Special guest, namely Sheikh Ghoyats Abdul Baaqi, an ulama' from Syria, on Friday 17/2/2012 .

In the explanation that he delivered about the characteristics and the differences between Suu’ Ulama's (the bad and misleading) and the Khoir Ulama's (the good and straight/right), he explained in a concise manner that the characteristics of the ulama's who are good and right is that, they always practice the Amar Ma’ruf Nahi Munkar, in both physical and verbal manners.

A Warasatul Anbiya’ Ulama has the character of Amar Ma’ruf Nahi Munkar. Both physically and verbally, by way of conveying the truth openly,” Ustadz Muin asserted.

In his elaboration, he explained that the physical Amar Ma’ruf Nahi Munkar is done if the da'wah bil lisan could no longer be heard and applied. So there is no other way to prevent other than by means of the physical force.

It is obvious here, his message implies that the FPI do not deserve to be disbanded, but must be supported by all Muslims for the sake of the continuity of the maslahat (benefits) and goodness for the society, as well as to prevent the adzab from Allah SWT. And this is a warning from him, that we Muslims must be careful with the ulama's who appeared good, but in reality are Suu’ Ulama's who hate, are hostile and even prevent the implementation of Amar Ma’ruf Nahi Munkar.
