PALANGKARAYA, Indonesia – Saturday, 11th February 2012 at 9.35 hour, upon arrival at Tjilik Riwut Airport, Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan, four central leaders of the Front Pembela Islam (FPI) or Islamic Defenders Front were blocked by thousands of kafir Dayaks who brandished mandaus (typical weapons of the Dayaks) at the Sriwijaya Air aircraft in which they flew. Those kafir Dayaks went into area of the runway for no apparent reason.
The four FPI central leaders are Ustadz Sobri Lubis (Secretary General), Habib Muchsin Al- Attas (Central Leader), Ustadz Awit Masyhuri (Chairman in the field of Da'wah) and Ustadz Maman Suryadi Abdurrahman (Laskar Commander).
When confirmed by Voa-Islam, the FPI's Laskar Commander, Ustadz Maman Suryadi Abdurrahman explained, “Today at around 08.00 local time, we departed from Soekarno Hatta Airport heading for Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan. The plan was that, we were to attend the event of appointing the FPI's manager for the Central Kalimantan. Upon arrival at the Tjilik Riwut Airport, Palangkaraya, we saw from the aircraft hordes of kafir Dayaks in their big number. We saw then brandishing mandaus while yelling in unclear voices,” Ustadz Maman said.

Seeing thousands of Dayaks brandishing mandaus at the aircraft which had just landed, all the passengers appeared panicky. No police security was seen around the airport at that time. While the kafir Dayaks started to advance closer to the aircraft. In such an emergency situation, the pilot of Sriwijaya Air then made an initiative, the four leaders of the FPI were asked to remain in the aircraft, while the rest of the passengers were allowed to get off.
Panicked Passengers
Only the four leaders of the FPI (Ustadz Sobri Lubis, Ustadz Maman Suryadi, Habib Muchsin Al-Attas, and Awith Masyhuri) along with the stewardesses and pilots remained in the aircraft. For the sake of the safety of those FPI leaders, before long, the Pilot right away departed the aircraft again heading for Banjarmasin. Arriving at Syamsudin Noor Airport, Banjarmasin, the four leaders of the FPI were then safe from the rage of the kafir Dayaks in Palangkaraya.
"If we had gotten off from the plane, surely we would have been chopped up by the kafir Dayaks. But, Allah still protects us. Alhamdulillah," Ustadz Maman said.
It was also reported that, the house and stage in the location of the event for the inauguration of the FPI in Palangkaraya, had been burned and destroyed by the hordes of kafir harbi Dayaks. Until today, it is still not known if there had been any casualty on the part of the house owners who were going to organize the appointment of the FPI's manager for Central Kalimantan.
From Jakarta, the Secretary General of the Islamic Ummah Forum (FUI) KH. Muhammad Al Khaththath asked the Head of Indonesian Police to immediately provide security for those leaders of the FPI.
The plan was that, Ustadz Maman along with the other three leaders of the FPI would head off for Sampit to conduct a Tabligh Akbar. "Now we are staying in a hotel in Hulu Kapuas, Banjarmasin. We ask for the do'a of the Muslimeen and Muslimat where ever they are, so that we always obtain the protection of Allah SWT.”
Ustadz Maman asserted, the FPI is not going to back off at all from conducting da'wah to establish the religion of Allah. They, the kuffar have openly showed their hatred against Islam. By Allah, we are ready to sacrifice with jihad fie sabilillah to destroy the kuffar who are fighting Islam where ever they are. Allahu Akbar!!!
Apparently, Those Who Want To Disband The FPI Are Hordes Of Gays, Transvestites and Prostitutes.
JAKARTA – Hordes of people from the Jaringan Islam Liberal (JIL) or Liberal Islam Network held a demo which they called “Indonesia Without FPI”, in front of Plaza Indonesia, in Central Jakarta, Tuesday (14/2/2012). Through this demo, they supported the anarchistic act carried out by the thugs in the name of the Dayak community that threatened to kill the four central leaders of the FPI, in Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan, last Saturday.
Their slogan is only one, Indonesia without the FPI, Indonesia without Violence. That was what they called out throughout the demo from 16.00 to 17.00 local time. This horde from the JIL charged that the FPI are the perpetrators of violence in Indonesia. They seemed to turn a blind eye that, in the incident in Palangkaraya it was the FPI who were the victims. The victims of violence and attempted murder are the leaders of the FPI, while the thugs there busted the Tjilik Riwut Airport, occupying the apron of the airport, carrying and brandishing sabers and spears. They are the ones who should be condemned for committing violence.
Who are actually the JIL people who are so insistent in seeing the FPI disbanded? From the observation of one of the Islamic media, Suara Islam Online, the kingpins of the Liberals who were seen on site in the demo which was secured by about 100 policemen, with some of them armed to the teeth, and was covered by dozens of media, among others were Ulil Abshar Abdallah (JIL/Freedom Institute), Alissa Wahid (daughter of Gus Dur), Anis Hidayah (Migrant Care), Guntur Romli (JIL/Salihara), Hanung Bramantyo (a liberal film director) and Vivi Widyawati (Mahardika Women NGO).
The participants were made up of not more than 43 people, men, women and transvestites. It's hard to say that this group is an assemblage of the people of faith and the righteous. These people who want the FPI disbanded, if defined globally, at least are made up of transvestites, gays, lesbians, tattooed men with dreadlock and tattooed and smoking women. There was also a filmmaker who is persevering in making films that are harmful to Islam and the Islamic Ummah.
Here's the typology of a handful of people who claim to be anti-violence and want the FPI disbanded:
Even the word "Habib" was strikedout, such was their hatred.
The field coordinator of the action, Vivi Widyawati (liberal women activist) and a Gay giving a speech.
The female participants: short skirts, tattooed, smokers too.
A male participant, his body full of tattoos.
A tattooed female participant.
Guntur Romli, the actor behind the demo but the women were asked to be at forefront.
The kingpin of the JIL, Ulil Abshar Abdallah.
Alissa Wahid, istiqomah in following the footsteps of her father, reject FPI.
Filmmaker Hanung Bramantyo, will not be able to produce freely if the FPI is still around.
Habib Rizieq: “If There Is Still Any Ikhwan Who Believes The Junk News, His Iman Is Questioned???”
JAKARTA – Since the case of the attack on the Delegations of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), the central leaders of the FPI in Palangkaraya, by a horde of racist, fascist and anarchist mobs, which are strongly suspected to be the creation of the Governor of Central Kalimantan, Teras Narang who was using the name of the Dayak tribe, the pros and cons from the Indonesia society who are obviously mostly Muslims, could be seen.
The FPI became the headlines in the media. There are those who love and there are those who hate. There are those who defend and there are those who demand its disbandment. Because of the cynicism against the FPI, a lot of news coverage by some media, other than the Islamic media, became non-objective. A number of secular-liberal media are presenting reportages that represent as if the image of the FPI is very bad.
The reportages from the secular-liberal mass media which attacked the FPI could further mess up the thinkings and opinions of the public (who do not know the FPI and are inclined towards the secular-liberal media). The opinion supported by the secular-liberal media mostly contain opinions from the Playboy, prostitutes, corruptors, owners of discotheque, unscrupulous policemen, priests, homos and lesbians, the liberals and other forces of Iblis.
Surprisingly, there are still many people who claim to be Muslim but believe in the reportings that create negative images of their brothers in the FPI.
In this case, anyone who claims to be a Muslim is not supposed to take in crudely the news that come from the fasiq people who speak ill of their Muslims brothers without right evidence. Habib Muhammad Rizieq Syihab, general chairman of the FPI, said that he could not believe if there is any ikhwan who claims to be Muslim but still believe the junk news, “I am SURPRISED if there exist an UNPRINCIPLED IKHWAN who claims to be having iman, but still wants to believe in the JUNK NEWS, such as:
1. The PLAYBOY & PROSTITUTES said the FPI asks for money, he believes.
2. The CORRUPTORS said the FPI blackmails, he believes.
3. The OWNERS OF DISCOTHEQUE said the FPI asks for contributions, he believes.
4. The UNSRCUPULOUS POLICEMEN said the FPI, when they conduct raid, they all steal money and handphones, in fact they even take BOOZES too, he believes.
5. The WIKILEAK said the FPI is the domesticated dog of the police, he believes.
6. The PRIESTS said the FPI terrorizes the Christian community, he believes.
7. The MEDIA said the FPI is radical and anarchistic, he believes.
8. The HOMOS & LESBIANS said the FPI is evil, he believes.
9. The LIBERALS said the FPI is the formation of the Army, he believes.
10. IBLIS said the FPI is astray, he also believes. Does such kind of person has iman???!!!,” Habib Rizieq asserted.
A Muslim should abstain from judging another Muslim only from the media or only on the basis of “they said... they said.”
Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala says: “O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful.” (QS. Al-Hujuurat: 6).
Even Christian Supports The FPI: "I, A Christian, Support The FPI
The supports for the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) continues to pour in. For Muslims, it is certainly an obligation to support the practice of Amar Ma’ruf Nahi Munkar and stand together with fellow Muslim brothers to establish the truth and defend the Muslim brothers from the fitnah of the kuffar. After the representatives from various major Islamic organizations and the Muslim community in general expressed their supports for the FPI, it turns out there's also a Christian who supports the FPI. The following is a writing by a Christian entitled “I, a Christian support the FPI”, excerpted from kompasiana.com:
***
Who doesn't know the FPI? The three letters is an acronym for Front Pembela Islam or Islamic Defenders Front. An Islamic organizations that is often associated with the 'tradition' of violence. Basically the main principle of the FPI is upholding the Amar Maruf Nahi Mungkar [inviting towards goodness and fighting evil] but what to do, the media have already ‘succeeded’ in exposing the FPI with its ‘culture’ of violence and (a majority of) the Indonesians have already given a bad assessment of the FPI. I, as a Christian (Catholic) was a little sad when the media reported about the violence committed by the FPI. I had, at one time, disliked the presence of the FPI in Indonesia. Starting from the tragedy of Monas, the closure of bars, anti-booze demo, etc. I felt weary with the violence perpetrated by the FPI. And the society also did not seem to agree if the FPI uses the 'frills' of Islam. Because according to them, Islam is peaceful and love differences, not violence.
As time passes, news about the FPI was not heard. Suddenly, Indonesia was shocked with the news “The Rejection of the FPI in Palangkaraya”. For a moment, I was startled. It was also at that instant that I started to get curious with the FPI. What made the FPI rejected in Palangkaraya? So I looked for the info.
So I started to reflect, why don't the people think ‘what inspires the FPI to do violence.’ Since then I concluded that there must be a reason that make the FPI acted as such. For example, when the FPI denounced the dozens of PDIP members who met with the former members of the PKI (Communist Party of Indonesia) in Blitar. According to my judgment, the FPI tried to eradicate the PKI from existence down to its roots. And that's what I agree with. Even if only meeting with ‘former’ members of the PKI, if that meeting takes place periodically, it can allow the PKI to grow again in Indonesia. And then about the Liquor Demo, I also agree with that. What kind of Government would dare to revoke the Liquor prohibition ACT? Still, it was the FPI that was blamed. Whereas, if the moves planned by the government to revoke the liquor Prohibition Act went ahead, what will become of this country? Becoming a country that makes boozes halal? Those were only two “worrying” examples. Did the media report about the time when members of the FPI gallantly helped evacuate 70,000 victims of the Aceh tsunami? Did the media report about the time when the FPI established command posts for the the Merapi volcano disaster? Strange indeed.
And I continued to do the search for information about the FPI. I dropped by in a forum on the internet which obviously rejected and was discriminative against the FPI. But there's one comment that was interesting in my opinion to be shared with the members of Kompasiana. The user's name was adiet87smg, he wrote:
“life in the present age is indeed strange. ignorance can be found everywhere, a person who simply wants to do good is just difficult. so remember the Prophet's era. The Prophet himself did da'wah and invite mankind towards goodness, instead he was thrown at with dungs. That's crazy right? Same as today, inviting people to do good but are fought against, condemned and asked to disband, instead. Truly an insane era perhaps.. right?!”
So I remembered when there was a demo to reject the FPI at the HI roundabout. Most of the participants in the demo are the gays, lesbians, sluts and the likes. It is natural if they reject the FPI, because their status are indeed in conflict with the religion. And even more shocking, I got the info that the driving force behind the demo of Rejecting the FPI was Ulil Abshar Abdalla, the functionary of the Democratic Party who is entangled in a corruption case and also mentioned as a member of the JIL [Liberal Islam Network]. Wow. It's no wonder that Ulil Abshar Abdalla drove the masses to reject the existence of the FPI, because the FPI have listed his name as one of the persons who are hiding in the Party in which most of its members got entangled in corruption cases. About the news on the rejection of the FPI in Palangkaraya, it is also touted as an attempt by Ulil Abshar Abdalla to ‘eradicate’ the FPI from this world. Whereas, it was the Dayak people themselves who requested the FPI to be established in Central Kalimantan.
I, as a Catholic, support the efforts of the FPI to fight evil.

Munarman: "Proven Corrupt, The Democrats Fit To Be Dissolved, Not The FPI"
JAKARTA – Central Board Chairman of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), Munarman stated that Ulil Abshar Abdalla is behind the attempt to disband the FPI. According to Munarman, by not utilizing the the Liberal Islam Network (JIL) anymore, Ulil attempted to disband the FPI through the instrument of the Democratic Party.
On that effort of Ulil, Munarman on the other hand urged for the Democratic Party to be disbanded. His reason, the party officials were involved in corruption cases in a number of projects such as the Wisma Athletes project.
"Through Ulil, the Democratic Party attempts so that the FPI is dissolved. What deserves to be dissolved is the Democratic Party, because its officials, from Nazaruddin to its General chairman, Anas Urbaningrum, are suspected of committing corruption. So it's the Democrats that should be disbanded for being indicated as a corrupt party, not the FPI," Munarman told the reporters, Saturday (18/2/2012).
Munarman admitted, the FPI along with other elements had repeatedly performed protests in front of Anas Urbaningrum's house in Duren Sawit. In fact, Munarman also claimed that they had done a protest in front of the KPK (Anti-Corruption Commission) so that Anas is arrested.
As is known, the FPI, as an organization that is so concerned with the amar ma’ruf nahi munkar, is no longer doing the eradication of munkar (evil) on places of vices only, but they are stepping it up to the fight against corruption.
On 22nd September 2011, the FPI along with the ulama's and national figures like Fuad Bawazier and Permadi declared the formation of the “Indonesia's Anti-Corruption Laskar Fighters” in front of the KPK building.
Habib Rizieq Shihab, who led the declaration, at that time offered a do'a in his oration so that the corrupt regime which is tormenting the people will be thrown down, "O Allah destroy the regime that makes the common people suffered,” Habib said.
In fact, that General Chairman of the FPI affirmed that they would bring forth a revolution, as the corruptors are protected by the regime of SBY. "We will not let the regime continue. It is high time we do a revolution because President SBY is protecting the corruptors, hoarding the wealth of the country for the sake of the family's well-being," Habib asserted.
Islamic Defenders Laskar (LPI) Ready For Jihad To Confront The Hordes Of Anarchistic Thugs

JAKARTA – The plan is that, today, Monday (20/2) the Laskar Pembela Islam (LPI) or the Islamic Defenders Laskar will visit the Attorney General of Indonesia in South Jakarta to again report about a number of masterminds who summoned the Dayak masses to carry out assassination attempt against four leaders of the FPI at the Tjilik Riwut Airport, Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan. The act was led personally by the Commander of the LPI, Ustadz Maman Suryadi.
Earlier, around 60 members of the LPI came to the office of the representative of Central Kalimantan in Kembang Rd., Kwitang, Central Jakarta to protest against the Governor of Central Kalimantan, Agustin Teras Narang, considered as the brain and the intellectual actor.
There are some names who, according to FPI, attempted to carry out assassination against the four FPI central leaders. The intellectual actors amongst others are: Agustin Teras Narang (Governor of Central Kalimantan), Siun Jaris (Regional Secretary of the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government as the operator of the act), Damianus Jackie (Head of Regional Police for Central Kalimantan as the protector and authorizer of the act), Yansen Binti (alleged drug kingpin as the coordinator of the act), Sabran (a provocateur of the act), Lukas Tingkes (convicted of corruption).
It should be noted, Lukas Tingkes was convicted of corruption by the judgment of the Indonesian Supreme Court No. 173/ PK/Pid.Sus/2010 on 13th November 2010 which was already adjudicated but he has not been executed until now by the Attorney of Palangkaraya, thus on 11th February 2010 he got a chance to become the operator and coordinator, as well as the provocateur of the demo.
All the criminals' names above, either directly or indirectly, have committed serious crimes in the form of: sabotage of vital objects in Tjilik Riwut Airport– Palangkaraya – Central Kalimantan, obstruction of an aircraft at the runway of Tjilik Riwut Airport, siege of an aircraft belonging to Sriwijaya Air by brandishing sharp weapons.
Not to mention, the destructions of a number of houses and shops belonging to the committee of the event to be attended by the FPI contingents in Palangka Raya. And then, the physical, as well as mental abuse against the committee of the event, the burning of the tent and stage for the event, the attempts to murder the leaders of the Islamic organizations, the FPI, who were performing the duties of Islamic da'wah.
The intellectual actors also instigated the Dayak community to besiege the house of the district officer for the Province of Kuala Kapuas by brandishing weapons at the entourage of the FPI. All these crimes were convened and planned in the Betang House within the Complex of the Governorate on 10th February 2012 with the consent and permission from the Governor, Regional Secretary, as well as Head of Regional Police of Central Kalimantan.
So were the mob's gathering and preparation points before heading towards the Tjilik Riwut Airport, they got the acknowledgment and permission from the Governor, Regional Secretary, as well as the Head of Regional Police of Central Kalimantan. The FPI showed the articles of the Criminal Code which were infringed by the masterminds and intellectual actors who openly committed criminal acts, namely:
The CRIMINAL CODE Article 156a concerning Desecration of Religion
The CRIMINAL CODE Article 170 concerning Collective Vandalism
The CRIMINAL CODE Article 333 concerning Confiscation of Freedom
The CRIMINAL CODE Article 335 concerning Unpleasant Acts
The CRIMINAL CODE Article 340 concerning Planned Assassination Attempt
