Camp Of Abu Sayyaf Mujahideen Attacked, 7 Filipino Kafir Soldiers Killed

SULU, Philippines – The Mujahideen of Abu Sayyaf killed seven Filipino marines and wounded 21 others who wanted to attack their camp in the jungle on Thursday (28/7/2011).

Around 30 marines did a maneuver in bad weather near the the Mujahideen camp in the villages of Patikul, south of Sulu Province, sparking off a shootout before dawn, said the military spokesman, Lieutenant Colonel Randolph Cabangbang.

It is still unclear whether there was any casualty in the Mujahideen's camp led by Radulan Sahiron, one of the commanders who have long been wanted by America and the kafir authorities of Philippines for a series of bomb attacks and kidnappings.


The marines moved at night on a mission to capture Sahiron, a commander of the Abu Sayyaf believed to be hiding in one of those forest areas in Jolo island. But the Mujahideen fought fiercely which in the end killed 7 Filipino marines and wounded 21 others.

Washington has offered 1 million USD for the capture or killing of Sahiron and 5 million USD for Hapilon and Zulkifli bin Hir who is also known as Marwan. He is believed to be hiding in Sulu and serves as the leader of the Mujahideen there.

It needs to mentioned that on 6th July 2011, one Fillipino soldier was killed and five others wounded in an attack by the Mujahideen of Abu Sayyaf in the province of Sulu. They were attacked by around 30 Abu Sayyaf Mujahids led by Umbra Jumdail alias Doctor Abu. The attack was very swift, it only lasted for 15 minutes. It was reported that the Mujahideen of Abu Sayyaf suffered no loss.

The Struggle Is An Interpretation Of The Words

The establishment of Islamic Shari'ah is not like the teachings of the Sufis, doing zikr thousands of times and then imagine all happens by itself. The establishment of Islamic Shari'ah needs sacrifices, drops of blood and sweat. The Islamic Shari'ah is also established not by those who still indulge in bid'ah (heresy) and the corruptness of the aqeedah. It was hatched out of the crystallization of tawheed in one's soul, and then that person fights and sacrifices with his soul to prove his words.

“The words, they could die,” Sayyid Qutb wrote, “The words will also be frozen, although written with beautiful or enthusiastic lyrics. The words will be like that when they do not come from the hearts of those who believe in what they say. And someone is unlikely to have a strong belief in what he says, unless he construes in himself what he says, and then becomes a real visualization of what he said.” Sayyid Qutb continued in his monumental literary work, the Fii Zilaalil Qur’aan.

This is the sunatullah of the struggle from the various kinds ideologies and beliefs. Let alone in struggling for Islam which has been made as the common enemy of the entire mankind, from those claiming to be Muslim, to the kafir and zindiq. This is the path of the Apostles which is travelled again by the proponents of tawheed, i.e. the path when major corruption comes, so Allah wants to perfect His Dien by testing those of His slaves, that they are absolutely confident with what are embedded in their hearts.

In a narration, Abdullah bin ‘Amr bin al-‘Aas (RA) said:

"When we were with him (SAW) and he said ‘toobaa lil-Ghurabaa' (glad tidings for the Strangers)', we asked: 'who are they?' He (SAW) replied: ‘They are the righteous people and are very few in number compared to the majority.’" (Can be found in Saheeh Muslim, Ibn Maajah, Musnad Imaam Ahmad, al-Bukhaari and at-Tirmidhi)

So when there are strugglers of Islamic Shari'ah who are fought against, killed and imprisoned because of their beliefs, that is something natural and commonplace. Because everything that is befalling them had already befallen the people before them. Even to the point of complaining to Rasulullah (SAW) as a result of the severity of the torments inflicted upon them by the kafir dan jahiliyyah people.

It is narrated by Bukhari, from Khabbab ibn al-Aratt (RA) that he came to the Prophet (SAW) to complain about the difficult situation the Muslims were enduring. By way of background, Khabbab ibn al-Aratt (RA) was inflicted with the most severe torture imaginable; red hot irons from the furnace would be placed on his head and he was regularly taken to the open area of Makkah when the sun was at its highest and the ground was baking hot. He (RA) would be stripped of his clothes and dressed in iron armour and placed on the ground then they would place a large hot stone on his back. Khabbab narrated:

"I came to the Prophet (SAW) while he was leaning against his sheet cloak in the shade of the Ka'ba. We were suffering greatly from the pagans in those days. I said (to him): 'Will you not invoke Allah (to help us)?' He (SAW) sat down with a red face [i.e. became angry] and said: '(A believer among) those who were before you used to be combed with iron combs so that nothing of his flesh or nerves would remain on his bones; yet that would never make him desert his religion. A saw might be put over the parting of his head which would be split into two parts, yet all that would never make him abandon his religion. Allah will surely complete this [dien] (i.e. Islam) so that a traveller from Sana to Hadra-maut will not be afraid of anybody except Allah or the wolf lest it should harm his sheep. But you are in too much of a hurry.'”

So, when we have already intended to stand along with the lions of tawheed, to walk with the callers of Islamic Shari'ah and we have promised that every life and death is only for Allah, then live what we believe even if ordeals are coming incessantly against us, shaking all fabric of life. It's time to prove what we have buzzed, at the time when the feelings of security are blanketing our lives, when leisure times are making us complacent and think that this path will be fine. Because when we have already walked upon the path of truth, it does not matter where this head is turning.

"Indeed, those who have said, 'Our Lord is Allah' and then remained on a right course - the angels will descend upon them, [saying], 'Do not fear and do not grieve but receive good tidings of Paradise, which you were promised.'" [Fuşşilat : 30]

Two Muskrik Policemen Killed, Railroads Bombed In South Thailand

PATTANI, Thailand – The Mujahideen of Pattani continued to show their fangs after we had not heard any news of their struggle for a while. This time still in South Thailand, Thailand's rail system was closed on Wednesday (27/7/2011) after two bombs had damaged the railway line, while in another incident, the Mujahideen shot dead two policemen from atop a motor vehicle.

The police said the bombs were detonated in the province of Narathiwat, on the trail that leads to the town of Sungai Kolok which borders with Malaysia. Repairs had been made until Wednesday afternoon.

Local media reported that there was no casualty and the perpetrators have not been identified. Three provinces in South Thailand i.e. Yala, Narathiwat and Pattani, continued to be in turmoil since the Islamic insurgency flared in 2004. Thousands of people were reportedly killed in the violence launched by the mushrik military of Thailand.

Shootings targeting military and police personnel of Thailand from atop motor vehicles and mines bomb blast have been common there.

The Mujahideen of Pattani are believed to be responsible for the murder of the two policemen on Wednesday afternoon in the province of Pattani, although the Mujahideen have not issued a statement.

Police Colonel Chonvee Chavarerk said that Sergeant Major Narin Hatre (39) and Sergeant Major Noppadol Man-ah (38), were riding a motorcycle on their return from a songbird competition when two armed men launched an attack using M16 assault rifles, killing both on the scene.

Some time ago, four mushrik soldiers were reportedly killed in a bomb attack launched by the Mujahideen.

Arab Ulama' Issued 'Pro- Gaddafi' Fatwa

RIYADH – A leading ulama' in Saudi Arabia appeared in a television show in the state-owned television in Libya on Monday (25/7/2011) to proclaim a fatwa that urged the rebels to immediately lay down their weapons and make a peaceful reconciliation with the regime of Muammar Gaddafi, reported by Emirates 247.

Hamoud bin Nafei Al Anzi, an imam in the main city of the Saudi, Alasiah, stated that some of the leading scholars in the Arab region have made an emergency decision which is inverse to their decision when they approved the resistance against Gaddafi on the first days after the fighting began to break in the North African country five months ago. Al Anzi, who visited Tripoli to meet with the camp of Gaddafi said that he was in Libya for personal purposes and he does not represent the views of the government of Saudi Arabia.

“I've been to many places that were bombed by the Crusader forces (NATO) in Libya… these crusader forces are only killing the people of Libya indiscriminately and wanting to destroy the country,” he said in a press covered by the Libyan television. “I appeal to all ulama's and scholars to issue a fatwa for those who fight against the government and their own people, to lay down arms and join with their brothers at the negotiating table if you (the rebels) really have the demands. Do not take up arms to settle disputes. I admit there was an error but the error should not be handled by an even bigger mistake. By Allaah, stop the bloodshed.”

Al Anzi is the first Arab ulama' to make a public appearance and have the courage to give support to Gaddafi. “I see people who do not have legs and arms, their eyes became blind. This can not be justified. In opposing the government, we do not need to bring outsiders. The Islamic State forbids this. I appeal to all the citizens of Libya to stop fighting, talk to each other, as well as no longer relying on the crusaders,” he added.

“I am only urging my brothers in Saudi Arabia and other Islamic countries to issue a fatwa now to prohibit the fighting and bloodshed.” (arrahmah.com)

Four Mushrik Soldiers Killed, Nine wounded, In A Motorcycle Bomb Attack In Yala, Thailand. Allahu Akbar!

YALA, Thailand – At least four soldiers were killed and nine others injured in a motorcycle bomb attack in the province of Yala, Bannang Sata district, South Thailand on Friday (22/7/2011) morning.

The media spread lies by claiming that there was no dead soldier and three students were injured in the attack.

Police Colonel Wongpaibul, the chief of police in Bannang Sata said that the three injured were in critical conditions.

The explosion occurred at 10.50 AM on a road in Bannang Sata near the Ban Tao Poon school. All the victims were rushed to the hospital.

Police investigators said that a homemade bomb, weighing 10 Kg had been hidden inside a parked motorcycle.

They believed the attacker detonated the explosive when the soldiers from Unit No.15, the special forces of Yala, passed through that road.

Some vehicles, including a GMC military truck near the scene of the explosion, were damaged by the impact of the explosion.

Shortly after the bombing, the police detained a suspect identified as Wae-Useng Waesama alias Wan Husayn (25) – may Allah free him soon – who was arrested in Banang Sata.

He was rushed to the police station for questioning.

It should be mentioned that on 24th June 2011 a mine bomb killed two government officials and wounded eight others in Tak Bai, province of Narathiwat, South Thailand and on 16th June 2011 the Mujahideen of Pattani, South Thailand, killed four Thai mushrik soldiers before escapeing using an army truck containing M-16 rifles seized by the Mujahideen from the enemies

Also, on 1st June 2011, two government officials were killed by bomb blasts in Pattani, South Thailand. The police said that three bombs believed to be planted by Islamic "militants" exploded in South Thailand, killing two government officials and wounding six others.

The Islamic Ummah Needs A Television Channel

The media is one of the Democracy-supporting pillars, it is no wonder that the media today are fiercely pushing Islam into a corner, which obviously becomes the primary enemy of Democracy, after the collapse of Communism, along with the collapse of the Soviet Union. So, the role of the media today is very important and it is the key to the victory in the “Islamic Civilizations VS Democracy” collision.

The media is able to make black into white and vice versa, a pornographic actor at the same time can become someone adored by the society, in fact even a Qur'anic teacher can become a scum of the society, all this is due to the role of the media in smoothening the agenda of those parties who desperately want the establishment of a free order within the frame of democracy that becomes the basis of their ideology.

And since the main enemy of democracy and that which threatens the existence of its supporters today is Islam and its activists, then with abundant funds and qualified human resources, the proponents of democracy, allied with the ideology that does not like the rise of Islam, come together to undermine Islam. One of their weapons is the media.

We see the media today, starting from the television, newspaper, magazines to the internet, they are all viewing Islam from the same angle, all are portraying Islam as the root of terrorism, fanaticism and civilization setbacks, without the Muslims ever being able to provide a defense and explanation why the attitude of resistance against the rulers who are unjust against Muslims must arise. All are accepted by the public without any filtering and counter-balancing news from the Islamic media. There may be some defenses from the Islamic media but they are not as intense as what are reported by the media which indeed have a negative view of Islam and the Muslims from the beginning.

Here is where the roles of the Islamic media are really needed and expected to become an alternative to the circulating news which are more to pinning Islam and are always suspicious of its activists. And inevitably, we have to acknowledge that the most responsible media and that which can be accessed by all levels of society, is the television. It is mostly the television that has the main and very vital role in making someone or anything to be like what are desired by the people who have self-interests in the news.

Therefore, with this very huge potential of the Islamic ummah, it would be nice if Muslims could be invited to unite and struggle for the establishment of a television station, so that the aspirations and views of the Muslims with regards to their own destiny, could be heard by the people who have a skewed view of Islam, especially the ordinary people who for many years have been fed by the television which without doubt are managed by the kafir, so that the general public have access to clear informations about their own religion.

The role of the ummah in supporting this project should be empowered by those people who are entrepreneurs, ulama's and Islamic activists, so that all circles of the Islamic ummah can benefit from it. And when the project is successful, the management of the television should be the responsibility of all elements of the mass organizations that exist among Muslims, because if it is only managed by one element of the Muslims, other elements would feel that they have no sense of belonging to the television and consider it as not representing their aspirations. A fair policy is required in this regard and this writer believes that the Muslims are getting maturer in seeing this urgency, to not emphasize on own groups and circle's self-interests because the interests of Islam is above all else.

Hopefully this project can be realized and become a reality, a television channel that struggles for the voices of the Muslims who are oppressed and fooled by the kafir, giving the true voice of Islam upon the manhaj of Al-Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet SAW and become a correction tool against the rampant immoralities and oppressions.

The saying goes, “they who control the media, will be the ones to rule the world”.

Know that archery and throwing at targets (at present it is shooting) exercises, learning them and competing to obtain a deep understanding of them, with the intention of jihad fie sabilillah, is a part of the sunnah. Rasulullah SAW emphasized it very much and invited us to do so with enthusiasm and seriousness!!!

There are so many virtues and benefits of shooting practices emphasized by Islam to its ummah, among others are:

Allah ‘azza wa jalla orders us to conduct shooting practices to prepare for jihad fie sabilillah.

Allah ‘azza wa jalla says:

“And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.” (Al-Anfal : 60).

Some madzhab ulama's have deemed it compulsory to learn and practice shooting or throwing in the framework of jihad fie sabilillah. And they made this verse as a daleel or basis for the askari training (and in today's term it is military training), because what was meant by strength here is throwing, namely studying the weapons, mortars, grenades, etc., which is a metaphor for the throwing at the time of Prophet Muhammad SAW.

Imam Muslim have narrated a saheeh hadith from Uqba bin Amir RA, he said: “I have heard from Rasulullah SAW and he was on the minbar when he read the verse: “And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war…”.

And then he said:

“Verily, strength is in throwing [i.e. shooting], verily strength is in throwing, verily strength is in throwing.” (HR. Muslim no. 1917)

Indeed, Allah ‘azza wa jalla rewards with Jannah the three groups that are involved in jihad fie sabilillah (associated with weapons), namely the makers of the weapons, those who use the weapons on the battlefield and those who provides the funds (to make or buy the weapons).

Rasulullah SAW said:

“Allah will enter three people into Jannah by one arrow. The first one is the maker who makes it with the intention of reward and the archer and the person who stands by, (passing it to the archer).”

And he said:

“Do archery and horse riding. To practice archery is more beloved to me than horse riding, and whoever forgets archery, disliking it after learning it, surely he has left a great bounty (or he said), he has been ungrateful to a bounty." (Saheeh at-Targheeb wat-Tarheeb and Abu Dawud)

It has been reported by 'Abd al-Rahman bin Shamasa that Fuqaym al-Lakhmi said to Uqba Bin Amir, "You frequently hit between these two targets. Being an old man, you must be finding it very hard, (meaning that why do you need to practice archery and targeting in this old age)?" Uqba Bin Amir RA said, "If I had not heard a hadith from Rasulullah SAW I would not take this difficulty." Harith RA (one of the narrators in the chain of transmitters) asked Ibn Shamasa, "Which hadith is that?" He replied that Rasulullah SAW said, "Whoever learns archery and then gives it up, is not from us or he would be guilty of disobedience to Allah's Apostle." (Muslim)

Indeed, Rasulullah SAW practiced archery (throwing) together with his Sahabahs RA.

Imam Bukhari rahimahullah narrated from Salamah bin Akwa’ RA, he said: “Once, the Prophet SAW passed by some people of the tribe of Bani Aslam who were practicing archery (but did not know the sunnah of archery). Rasulullah SAW said:

"O Bani Ismail practice archery as your father Ismail was a great archer. Keep on throwing arrows and I am with Bani so and so." So one of the parties ceased throwing. Rasulullah SAW said, "Why do you not throw?" They replied, "How can we throw while you are with them? (i.e. on their side)." At this Rasulullah SAW said, "Throw, and I am with all of you." (Bukhari)

This hadith indicates the permission of being ta’asub (fanatic) in the framework of training for strength in a good cause (encouragement) and in order to strengthen their hearts, for pleasure and excitement in the practice of throwing, and to please people who practice and burn their passion to love practicing archery. All those is with a good precondition, i.e. so as to to perpetuate the Sunnah of the Prophet, namely throwing (at the present time it is to practice shooting).

The practice of throwing (shooting) is a part of such a great cause and made as a Sunnah by the Prophet SAW.

Imam Muslim have narrated from Uqba bin Amir RA. He said: “That I heard the Messenger of Allah saying:

“In the near time you will gain land, Allah's help will suffice you, in that time and age none of you (should be weak/lazy) but to keep on practicing archery." (HR. Muslim No. 1918)

Imam An-Nasa’i and Imam Baihaqi have narrated from Atha’ bin Abi Rabbah: “I saw Jabir Bin Abdullah and Jabir Bin Umar al-Ansari doing archery. One of them got tired and sat down, so the other Sahabi (companion) said to him, "You have become lazy." I heard Rasulullah SAW saying:

"Everything which does not consist of Allah's zikr (remembrance) is laghwun (futility) and not useful, except for FOUR things: Someone who is practicing throwing at targets (with stones, woods, arrows, etc.), the training of the horse by a man, someone who teaches his family to play and someone who practice swimming." (Al-Mujtaha Li Nasa'i, 6/222-223, As-Sunan Al-Kubra Li Baihaqi, 10/14, it was said this hadith is saheeh).

Imam ibnu Nuhas rahimahullah described the target practice here as the practice solely made for the purpose of archery or throwing, such as made from a marked paper or leather. Then the paper or leather is targeted from a certain distance, or thrown at with arrows or spears to get to those targets.

Due to that, this target practice is very much and always emphasized so that the throwing ability and skill could be acquired. This was usually done by the Sahabahs of Rasulullah SAW and Umar bin Khattab RA had instructed his army in the jihad arenas to constantly practice throwing and continue to do so (to train at it).

Imam Al Bukhari rahimahullah narrated from Abu Utsman An-Nahdiy RA, he said: “The message of Umar bin Khattab RA has come to us and we were with Utbah bin Farqod RA, we were conducting jihad in Ajarbaizan, and in the letter or writing of Umar bin Khattab, it was written:

“Amma ba’du… Wear the izar (wrapper/sarung), wear the sandals, wear the rida' (outer wrapping garment/shawl), and throw away the shoes and long trousers. Wear the clothing of your father, Ismail, shun luxury living and wear the clothes of the commoners. Bask in the sun because it is a warm water bath of the Arabs. Have a rough lifestyle, have a shabby look, walk barefoot, do not get into the habit of riding (train for a long distance walk). Play with the horse with agility, practice target shooting and walk between the two (from the firing position to the firing target).” (Sunan Al-Kubra Al-Baihaqi, 10/14).

Whoever throws (with one throwing) in Allah's path. Allah Ta’ala will raise his status with that in Jannah.

Imam An-Nasaa’i, Al-Hakim and Ibnu Hibban narrated from Amru Bin Abasah RA, he said: “Once, we traveled around Tha'if with Rasulullah SAW, and I heard him saying:

“Whoever throws (one arrow) in Allah's path (fie sabilillah) he shall have the reward equivalent to freeing a slave and whoever throws and it reaches the enemy, while he is in fie sabilillah, so for him is Jannah.” Then Amru bin Abasah said: ".… and so on." (Sunan An-Nasa’i, 6/27. Mustadrak Al-Hakim, 2/45,…)

Amar Bin Abasa said that he heard Rasulullah SAW saying, "Whoever throws an arrow in Allah's path; reaching its target or not reaching its target, will receive the reward of freeing a slave. The reward of freeing a Muslim slave is that it will be a source of saving every part of one's body from Hell." (An-Nasa’i)

Imam An-Nasa’i and Ibnu Hibban narrated from Kaab Bin Marrah RA, he said: “I heard Raslulullah SAW saying:

"Whoever aims an arrow at the enemy, reaching him, Allah will raise one grade in Jannah in exchange for this deed! Ibn Nuham asked, "O Rasulullah, how much (distance) is that grade?" Rasulullah answered, "The distance of grades in Jannah is not similar to the distance of your houses, in fact the distance between two grades is the distance travelled for a hundred years." ( An-Nasa’i and Saheeh at-Targheeb wat-Tarheeb ).

Imam Ibnu Nuhas said:

“That even though the throwing (of the spear/arrow) does not reach the enemy, then verily Allah Ta’ala will give a reward for his deed, and increase manifold the reward.” (Mashari’ul Ashwaq – Imam Ibnu Nuhas, 164).

Uqba Bin Abdus Salami RA narrated that Rasulullah SAW commanded his Sahabahs on one occasion to get up and fight. Upon hearing this, one person threw an arrow towards the enemy. Rasulullah SAW said, "He has made Jannah compulsory upon himself (meaning that Jannah is compulsory for him)." (Saheeh at-Targheeb wat-Tarheeb)

Abu Hurayrah RA narrated that Rasulullah SAW said, "Whoever throws one arrow in the path of Allah there will be noor (a gifted light from Allah), for him on the day of Judgment." (Saheeh at-Targheeb wat-Tarheeb)

Narrated from Mohammad Bin Hanafi RA that he said, "I saw Abu Amar Ansari. Abu Amar Ansari is known amongst those Sahabahs who participated in the battle of Badr and Uhud and he had also given an oath to Rasulullah SAW in Aqaba." He further states, "I saw him in the battlefield, he was fasting and was in a critical condition of thirst. He told his slave, "Give me a shield." The slave did so. He aimed three arrows at the enemy in a state of weakness, then he said, “I heard Rasulullah SAW saying, "whoever threw an arrow at the enemy, irrespective of it reaching the enemy or not, there will be a noor (special light) for him on the day of Judgment." Abu Amar Ansari was Shaheed before Maghrib." (Saheeh at-Targheeb wat-Tarheeb)

Subhanallah… So how about the circumstance we are in, we who are neglecting these target practices a lot … Aren't we able and capable?! Even in limited conditions and means, it can be done. Don't be lazy Ya Akhi… Don't be lazy! Being lazy is the source of defeats and the paths of Satan… Practice… Practice… Practice!!! When the time comes ….. we will be brought to the maqam (station) of jihad, the maqam of amaliyat (applicative)… But practice first, so that there would be a reason for Allah to bring us to the maqam of amaliyat jihad…!!!

This Is How The Ummah Of Prophet Muhammad SAW Should Be Like

How is the Ummah of Muhammad SAW portrayed like? Do we really deserve to be called the Ummah of Muhammad? What are traits of the Ummah of Muhammad SAW? Isn't Islam going to be made divided into 73 groups? In which group are we in? What exactly is the role of Muslims in this life?

The term “Ummah” is defined as:

مجموعات بشرية تربطها عقيدة واحدة

“A group of people bound together by a common Aqeedah.”

Furthermore, the term “Ummah” is not used as a definition of people of the same race or skin colour; the “Ummah” is only for those people who are united by their aqeedah and way of life. It is not suitable if this term is defined as “a state”, because a state is a large group of people who live in a certain area or region. (An Ummah can exist without living in a state).

Allah SWT has categorized mankind into 2 groups:

1. Al-Ummatul-Islaamiyah (Islamic Ummah)

2. Al-Umatul-Kafiraah (Non-Believing Ummah)

Moreover, there are only two camps (groups) for everyone, regardless of whether he is a Muslim or Kafir. The Jews, Christians, Sikhs, Hindus, Buddhists, they are all al-Umatul-Kafirah; in other words, they all do not believe in Allah.

Allah SWT says:

“It is He who created you, and among you is the disbeliever, and among you is the believer. And Allah , of what you do, is Seeing.” (QS At-Taghābun , 64: 2)

The Islamic Ummah itself is divided into two:

1. Umatu Muhammad (The Ummah of Muhammad, or Ahmad – also known as al-Firqatun Najiyah, or the saved group).

2. Umatu Ahlul Qiblah (The Ummah of the people of Qiblah, of the seventy-two groups that deviate – also known as al-Firqatul Haarikah)

Seventy-two sects of Muslims will go to hell (not forever, only Allah knows its time), and one group will go to heaven. With the consequence that, if they want to be safe from the fire of hell, then they should seek knowledge about the saved group and learn, as well as practice their characteristics.

The Role Of The Ummah

The role of Muslims is to apply the hujjah (be a witness) to the people, that there would be no respite – for those who do not believe – on the day of Judgment, when they meet with their true God. This can only be accomplished with iqaamatud dien, or implementing the Dien of Allah (i.e. Shari’ah) – not the dien of Kuffar, such as democracy or liberty. Allah SWT says:

“He has ordained for you of religion what He enjoined upon Noah - that which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what We enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and Jesus - to establish the religion and not be divided therein. Difficult for those who associate others with Allah is that to which you invite them. Allah chooses for Himself whom He wills and guides to Himself whoever turns back [to Him].” (QS Ash-Shūraá 42: 13)

The Attributes or Characteristics of the Ummah of Muhammad SAW

Allah SWT says:

“Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah ; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating [in prayer], seeking bounty from Allah and [His] pleasure. Their mark is on their faces from the trace of prostration. That is their description in the Torah. And their description in the Gospel is as a plant which produces its offshoots and strengthens them so they grow firm and stand upon their stalks, delighting the sowers - so that Allah may enrage by them the disbelievers. Allah has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds among them forgiveness and a great reward.” (QS Al Fath 48: 29)

Allah SWT tells in the above verse, informations about the attributes and qualities of Muhammad SAW, and “the people who were with him” – which refers to the Sahabahs and the people who rightly followed them (tabi’in and tabi’ut tabi’in). The attributes are:

1. Ashidda’u ‘alal Kuffar

One does not become a part of the Ummah of Muhammad except that he “fights the Kuffar”. It follows on that, this action should be channeled out reasonably (compatible with the Shar’iah). The acronym of CPF could help us to remember our attitudes, namely : C-Cooperation, we can work together with the unbelievers when we are under a (peace) treaty with them, P-Patience, when we talk about the Dien (Islam) to them (in da'wah) and F-Forceful, when we are fighting them in the arena of jihad.

2. Ruhamaa’u Bainahum

It is not possible for a person to become the Ummah of Muhammad unless he shows affection and generosity to fellow Mu'min (believers), even if they (the obedient Muslims) are labeled as lunatics, extremists, terrorists, propagators of hate or fundamentalists. This generosity is a manifestation of:

- Al-Ukhuwah (Brotherhood)

- Al-Muwaalaat (Alliance)

- At-Ta’aatuf (Kindness)

Today, it is a saddening condition when we see many people from the Ahlul Qiblah being confused from this point on and are also doing things that are completely reversed. As if they seem to prefer to hate the Muslims who are truly struggling for the cause of Allah, and have fellowship with the unbelievers. Therefore, they cannot be the Ummah of Muhammad!

3. Taraahum Rukka’an Sujjadan

The Ummah of Muhammad is an Ummah who are always ruku’ and sujd, i.e. worshiping Allah. They are not secular people. They do not worship Allah in the masjid only or during Ramadhan only, but they worship Allah twenty-four hours a day – even their sleep is an ibaadah (worship).

4. Yabtaghuna Fadlan Minallahi Wa-Ridwaanan

They seek the “Ridha (Pleasure) of Allah”. The Ummah of Muhammad do not look for praise, sympathy, honour or ridha from the humans. They only want the satisfaction and pleasure of Allah SWT. With the consequence that, they would fight and dominate (rule over) the allies of Satan. They will overshadow everything, and Allah SWT guards what are in their hearts.

Conclusion

If we want to be the Ummah of Muhammad (the saved group) we must possess the same Aqeedah as the Messenger of Allah SWT, who had the four attributes or characteristics described above. It is not enough to just have the correct Aqeedah but lacking these attributes (or characteristics) – we must have the correct Aqeedah and possess the characteristics of the Ummah of Muhammad at the same time.

A Glimpse Back At The Beginning Of The Bloody Ambon Tragedy

In the year 1998, in Ambon, Indonesia, the Christian people attacked and burned down a Muslim village along with its masjid. The Muslim people were in shock and then complained it to the authorities. The government promised to solve the problem.

Two weeks later, the Red Forces (Christians) attacked and burned down another Muslim village along with its masjid. The Muslims throughout Ambon could still forbear it and did not retaliate. This is the noble character of the followers of the religion of Islam which obviously is very different from the non-Muslims. They continued to complain to the authorities and the authorities promised to arrest and bring to justice the culprits.

Two weeks after that, another Muslim village was again attacked and burned down. It was completely burnt. The followers of Christianity dared to behave extremely because they felt the Muslims were not sensitive at all. Indeed, this is the attitude of most of the Muslims today. For example in the case of murtad (leaving Islam). Everyone knows that so many people from the Muslims have become murtad but they don't want to do anything about it. They could at least make it as a subject of discussion among friends or give support to the parties who want to strive to eradicate this symptom.

Even though three villages had already been razed to the ground, the 'alim ulama's of the Muslims in Ambon could still afford to be patient and withhold from issuing instructions to strike back. The Christians were getting increasingly disdainful. They planned for something bigger, i.e. to wipe out all the lives and properties of the Muslims of Ambon.

Approaching the 'Eidul Fitr, in the evening of 27th Ramadhan 1999 (hence the name, the Bloody Tragedy of 'Eidul Fitr), the Christians from outside Ambon, especially Maluku, arrived their multitudes to Ambon. It was said among the Christians that Prophet Isa (Jesus Christ) would descend in Ambon on that night.

This was different from the Muslims, where a lot of them were leaving Ambon to go back to their respective villages to celebrate the 'Eid holiday with their relatives. The ratio between the Muslims and Christians at that time was 3 Muslims : 10 Christians. Other Muslims were doing i'tikaf in the masjids (qiamullail), the Christians made a plan to finish off the entire Islamic ummah once and for all while they were in the middle of performing the 'Eid Fitr prayer. This is because the Muslims would be performing the prayer in a field, i.e. an open space, so it would be easy to slay them in mobs.

By the wills of Allah SWT, The Mighty Planner of things, don't know why, the Christian terrorists somehow failed to attack on that specified time. This was a help from Allah. Otherwise, the entire Islamic ummah of Ambon would have long extinct.

Nevertheless, the terrorist attacks commenced at 3 PM, at a time when Muslims were resting after performing the Zuhr prayer. The attacks were carried out throughout Ambon. The terrorist attacks were so orderly and well planned. They were divided into four divisions. The first division was made up of a rank of archers. Their arrows were not empty, but contained poisons and there were also flaming arrows. With that, the fire spread fast.

The second division was made up of a rank of terrorists who were armed with lances and spears. While the third division was made up of Christian terrorists with swords and machetes. And in the fourth division were the terrorists who would wipe clean (loot) all valuables belonging to the Muslims and then burn whatever was left. The Muslims tried to retaliate armed with kitchen knives, stones and spiky bamboos, but their defense was so easily broken apart by the terrorists. Just imagine, at that time (according to ratio), 30 Islamic fighters had to confront 100 Christian terrorists. So the Muslims were defeated easily.

Such was the fate that will befall the Islamic ummah if they do no make preparation (i'dad). Have we already equipped ourselves with the combat skills? Is our time in the martial arts arena and majelis of spirituality (religion) more than our times at the football field or in front of the television? Is our relationship with Allah now closer than ever so that it would be easy for us to be given help in the time of hardships? Have we ever done da'wah to the non-Muslims? Have we ever done da'wah to the Muslims themselves?

As many of the Muslims were critically wounded, they had to be sent to the hospital. Unfortunately, the hospital was located in the village of the Christians and the workers were also Christians. As soon as reaching there, all the wounded Muslims were hit hard and killed more easily.

A month before the attack was launched, the Christian workers had identified the religion of all the expectant mothers in their registers. At the time when the attack was launched, Muslim mothers were located in one dorm. Their stomachs were cut open with swords and the babies in the wombs were removed and chopped to pieces like meats.

After the abdomens of the Muslim mothers were slit open, their babies removed and chopped to pieces, the Christian terrorists stuffed their bellies with alive cats and then stitched them back. So the cats were twitching inside the bellies making those Muslim mothers suffer a very tormenting torture. Only Allah knows why all these adversities were sent down to the Islamic community in Ambon.

The Muslims made three defenses i.e. at Masjid An-Nur, at the junction of Masjid Al-Fatah and the last one was at Masjid Al-Fatah itself where the elderlies, women and children took shelter.

The rather massive and fully equipped waves of attacks by the Christian terrorists caused the defense at Masjid An-Nur collapsed. The Islamic fighters retreated to the street junction, while Masjid An-Nur was bombed by the terrorists. The defense at the intersecting street also did not last long, as a lot of Islamic fighters were shaheed and wounded. The remaining fighters were forced to defense their last bastion i.e. Masjid Al-Fatah. This time the Mujahideen fought while crying because they were very sad and too hoping for the help from Allah SWT, The All-Powerful.

Those who were weak inside the masjid prayed do'a together with all their hearts. They thought, this time the entire Muslims of Ambon would be finished. By the power of Allah, The Greatest, His help arrived in the critical moment. People saw a blue light falling on the dome of Masjid Al-Fatah.

Out of nowhere, thousands of little children in white robes came out of Masjid Al-Fatah and made defenses around the masjid. They were led by an old man. The old man cried takbeer and all the little children responded with similar cries of takbeer.

Hordes of Christian terrorists arrived. They stormed the defense of those little children but they failed by the wills of Allah SWT, The Almighty. It appeared that those children could not be penetrated by sharp weapons, they could not be stabbed, hacked or shot with arrows. The Christian terrorists were shocked and then retreated to their own base. The Muslims in the masjid performed sujud shukr for the help of Allah that came.

The next day, the Muslims and the Christians were busy talking about those little children. People thought that all those children were accommodated in Masjid Al-Fatah. But in actual fact, the Imam of the masjid himself did not know where they came from. No doubt… they were the forces of Allah, He Whose Has Great Dominion.

In another incident, a total of 70 Muslim youths in jubah (Muslim robes) from the villages moved towards Ambon. They had heard the rumour which said that Masjid Al-Fatah had been destroyed and its imam murdered. What good is to be alive if that was already the case. They walked tens of kilometers through the jungle and mountains so as not to stumble upon the Christian terrorists. It did not mean that they were afraid but they were reluctant to fight outside the city of Ambon. Their intention was to do a rampage in the city.

Nevertheless, Allah made them encounter the Christian terrorists from the villages. After being obstructed, they had no choice but to resort to jihad with weapons. By the permission of Allah SWT, The Ever-Living One, the entire villages along with the terrorists could be taken care of in the matter of half an hour only. Five churches were also burned.

The security apparatus (police) of Ambon, where 70% of them were Christian felt frightened by this forces of Allah, so they tried to obstruct them with firearms. Like what we have already known, members of the police who were Muslim were going back to their respective villages for the 'Eid holiday. It was easy for them (Christian police) to act arbitrarily.

The Islamic fighters had to hold out when fired at incessantly by the police, whereas they were armed with only traditional war equipments. The police shot at them until all their bullets ran out. The security forces could see the Islamic fighters still standing strong, so they tried to obstruct by other means.

They asked for the good service of a local Muslim ulama' to persuade the Mujahideen to cancel their plan. The ulama' was willing to cooperate so that a way to discussions could be opened and violence could be stopped. He met the fighters and gave assurance that Masjid Al-Fatah was still standing and its imam alive. The fighters agreed to return to their villages.

The Christian police examined the battleground but failed to find any corpse of the Islamic fighters. Not even a trace of their blood could be found. It seemed that all the 70 youths had survived and returned home in peace. They could only see felt banana trees. They were so amazed by the incident. Know that, all the impossible will become a reality by the will of Allah SWT.

It was found out later that when the Christian police fired at the 70 youths, they saw Islamic fighters in their thousands led by an old man mounted on a white horse. Due to that, the police went to the hometown of those youths in order to arrest the old man riding the white horse. The result? They were even more amazed as there was no old man there and no one kept any horse. So, who was that old man riding the white horse?

The Christian terrorists were still running amok in the city of Ambon. All the settlements of the Muslims in Ambon were burned down in just half an hour. When the flame was already drawing near Masjid Al-Fatah. They thought that the masjid would be finished this time.

By the will of Allah, The Almighty, the wind suddenly changed direction and it blew so ferociously. The flame reversed direction and then burned a church. When the church was on fire, two fire engine trucks were already on standby to put the fire out, but when the houses, market and shops belonging to the Muslims were on fire, the firefighters acted as if nothing happened. That's how tormented the Muslims were under the authority of the kafir, whereas the non-Muslims lived peacefully under the rule of the Muslims.

At one time, the electricity supply for the whole area of Ambon was cut off, it could also be deliberately disconnected by the Christian terrorists. It was during this time that the terrorists tied up white cloth around their heads exactly like what Muslims did, whereas before this, the terrorists only tied up red cloth around their heads. When they met the Islamic fighters, the terrorists also cried takbeer. It was at this time that many Islamic fighters fell shaheed for being deceived by the trick of the Christian terrorists.

The Imam of Masjid Al-Fatah suggested that the Muslims say Arabic alphabet when coming across with unknown groups. If the Muslims said 'alif', the other group would say 'ba'. If the group failed to respond, it means they were enemies. With this, the strength of the terrorists could be weakened.

Our brothers in Ambon, Maluku, Poso and the surrounding areas ate only once a day, sometimes they did not even eat at all, whereas we over here are highly luxurious in our eating and drinking. They did not sleep because of fear, even if they slept it would only be an hour per day, whereas we over here sleep more than six hours. Even in the state comfort such as this, we still do not want to cultivate Islamic life in our families. Where have our patriotic attitude towards Islam gone?

The Christians actually wants to make East Timor, Irian Jaya and Ambon as their new countries in this part of the globe to counter the rise of Islam in the end times like what had been stated by Rasulullah SAW. The Australian Military plays an important role here. How could the terrorists obtain AK-47automatic machine guns in big quantities if not supplied by Christians from foreign countries?

21st December 1999- The Christian terrorists attacked the Togolihua Village, Maluku. The children and women took shelter inside Masjid Al-Ikhlas. The masjid was surrounded and then bombed, they threw big stones and shot arrows, which had been smeared with pig blood. After holding out for an hour, the Muslims surrendered and then they were killed indiscriminately. How very uncivilized to kill people who already surrendered! Around 600 corpses of the Muslims laid on the ground from this slaughter.

Many women were stripped down naked and raped on the streets, in fact even in the compounds of the masjids. Then they were transported with trucks along with small children to be Christianized. Those women who refused would be chopped up alive. When someone was doing the chopping, others would rush to join chopping up as well, as if they were chopping up a snake. There was this Muslimah who was hanged and then burned alive. This was related by Mufli M. Yusuf, aged 15 years, who was able to escape, although his body suffered many scalds.

A woman who survived named Musriah (40 years) told that she herself witnessed how 50 Muslim men including her own husband were hacked to death. Her own head was bloodied after being struck by a machete, while the palm of her hand was pierced by an arrow. Don't we feel sympathy with her suffering?

Another survivor, Syahnaim (20 years) told how her two children aged 6 and 7 years old were taken away by the terrorists to be Christianized. While her two-year-old little boy was chopped up to death. A man named Bahrul was killed by means of crucifixion. His genital was cut off and stuffed into his mouth. A 5 year old child was hanged and then sliced from top to bottom like splitting a fish. An 80 year old grandmother was hanged with her own hair on a tree and then her body was chopped up.

So the blood of the Muslims and Muslimahs flowed abundantly in Ambon at the hands of the Christians. If we can let out the tears and pray for them, it's already quite good enough…

Nurain (20 years) told that her husband was martyred by the Christian terrorists while she herself was struck by an arrow on her left buttock. She pleaded so as not to be killed and then she was put onto a truck along with her child (3 years) and six other Muslimahs. Their heads were tied with red cloth (a symbol of the Christian terrorists) and then taken away. His son was surrendered to the house of a Christian priest to be raised in Christian ways, while she somehow survived. Nurain witnessed how a Muslim girl was burned alive for refusing to entertain the lusts of the Christian terrorists inside a masjid.

An almost similar fate was experienced by Yani Latif (17 years). Her husband was killed while her 13 months old baby was taken away, to be raised as a Christian. By the will of Allah, she managed to escape.

Hamida (18 years) who took refuge in Masjid An-Nasr was seized from her father who had been martyred. She was to be forcefully married by the Christian terrorists to the son of a priest. By the help of Allah, The Most Merciful, she managed to be rescued. She then recounted her experience when taking shelter at Masjid An-Nasr. A man named Munir (25 years) was burned alive and his mouth was stuffed with human filths. The head of Haji Man (70 years) was cut off and stabbed with arrows and made as a plaything by the terrorists inside the masjid. Malang (50 years) was killed sadistically. His body was sliced open and then his heart was drawn out and exhibited. The Christian terrorists said, “This is the gift for the 'Eidul Fitr.”

26th December 1999- more than 7000 Christian terrorists attacked Lamo Village. Lamo Village was defended by just 200 people, the warriors of Allah. The ratio was 1 Muslim: 35 Christian terrorists. Yet, the war became balanced because a majority of the Islamic fighters possessed a high skill of silat (martial arts of Indonesia). The Muslim fighters were led by the Imam of Masjid Nurul Huda named Haji Djailani whose knowledge and skill in the martial arts was very potent and effective.

The Christian terrorists thus changed tactics, they daubed their weapons with pig's blood. Dozens of pigs were slaughtered all over the village. While groups of Christian women stripped naked while dancing and showing their bodies to the Islamic fighters. This tactics apparently managed to weaken some of the effectiveness of the silat skill of the Islamic fighters and eventually they dwindled and had to retreat. How despicable were the actions of the Christian women, no difference from animals and the pigs that they had sacrificed.

Imam Djailani remained unmoved until he was destined to fall a martyr and successfully able to place himself in the Paradise of Allah. His body was crucified and exhibited at the roadside. It was only at night that the Muslims managed to retrieve his body and then buried as a warrior. But there is something we need to ponder… with just 200 skilled martial arts combatants, we can already be comparable to 7000 terrorists, imagine if the entire adherents of Islam acquire themselves the knowledge and skill of martial arts and spirituality!!!

28th July 1999- The Christian terrorists attacked the Hatta village, 12 km from Ambon. The houses of the Muslims were destroyed. The terrorists managed to capture two Muslim girls and then they gang-raped them. It was believed that 50 people had raped those two girls. And then both of them were brutally hit and trampled down and their bodies were chopped up to pieces. This is a proof showing that the Christian religion of the attackers is a wrong and misguided religion because their Christianity allowed their soldiers to rape, mutilate corpses, kill children and their womenfolk to go naked in order to win in a war. Is this the nature of religion which is said to be holy?

Stories like this is actually a repeat of history. It had happened in the efforts of the Christian Europe to seize Baitul Maqdis from the Islamic rules during the renown Crusades in 1095.

Patriach Ermite was a priest who had become the instigator and was responsible for the first Crusade. Originally, he was a soldier of ruthless and violent character. In his efforts to attract the sympathy of the society of the Christian Europe, he was willing to ride a donkey around Europe while carrying a big cross. He wore no shoes and only wore ragged clothes. He gave speeches everywhere he went to raise the anger of the Christian people.

He lied by saying that the Islamic government was very cruel for oppressing the Christian people in Jerusalem. Even the grave of Prophet Isa (Jesus) had also been intruded, he said. Besides that, he also managed to ask Pope Urbanus 11 (Chief Vicar of the world) to declare total forgiveness to anyone who wanted to become the soldiers of the Crusade, even though they had been thieves, murderers and renown criminals before. Meaning, whoever participated in the campaign, all their sins would be erased.

The army of the first Crusade was so huge in number, i.e. around 300,000 men and women. Along their journey, everybody was allowed to seize properties, fornicate among themselves, rape others, feast on boozes and so on, which obviously are immoral acts in the Christian religion itself. Apparently, it has been since such a long time in the past that the religion of Christian justifies immoralities and cruelties as long as their goals are achieved. This situation continues until today and will go on forever. When will the adherents of Christian religion be aware of this reality?

Nevertheless, the plan of Almighty Allah is the Most Perfectly Arranged. While passing through the countries of Hungary and Bulgaria, the reception of the people for these Crusader forces was very cold even though they were equally Christian. It appeared that the population of Hungary and Bulgaria were the followers of the genuine Christianity because they could still differentiate between the good and bad deeds. In silence, they hated the behaviors of the Crusader forces which were similar to beasts.

In the end, a war between themselves erupted. The bloodshed that broke out could not be imagined anymore. From the initial 300,000 Crusader soldiers, now only 7,000 remained and successfully reached the Thracians Peninsula under the leadership of the vicar.

As soon as they landed in Asia Minor, the Crusader forces were greeted with the swinging of the swords of the Islamic forces under the leadership of Sultan Kalij Arselan until their forces were entirely annihilated . We hope a similar occurrence would also happen to the Christian terrorists in Ambon, Maluku, Poso and the surrounding areas, sooner or later. Therefore, let's all together do munajat to Allah SWT. Indeed, the do'a is the weapon of the believers.

Back to the case of Indonesia, even though the Christians acted malignantly and inhumanely, this did not mean that the Muslims would retaliate in kind. Here is where the truth and greatness of the religion of Islam can be seen. In one incident, the Christian terrorists had attacked the Muslim residents in Seram Island. The dead bodies of the Muslims were lying in the streets. The Muslims counter attacked causing divisions among the Christian terrorists. Around 1000 Christian people from the villages of Werinama, Tehoru, Bula and others were forced to flee as they were chased by the Muslim residents who wanted to defend their slaughtered brothers and sisters. Now they know the meaning of fear which came from themselves.

By the will of Allah, they were saved by the occupants of the Pondok (traditional religious school) Al-Khairat, Wahai, Central Maluku. The headmaster of the pondok happily accommodated them around his pondok. They were treated well and provided with what foods and drinks they had. The Majelis Ulama' of Indonesia (MUI) of Maluku distinguished this action as having shown the genuine attribute and akhlaq of Islam. To this day, there have been thousands of Christian people from Ambon and Maluku who embraced the religion of Islam because they had personally witnessed the truth of the religion of Islam through the behaviors of the fighters and also through miraculous incidents i.e. the helps of Allah.

In Masjid Dufa-dufa, Gamsungi Village, Tobelo, North Maluku, a total 250 people, made up of women, children and the elderlies were burnt alive, along with the masjid, all at once even though they had already raised the white flag indicating surrender. The Imam of the masjid himself had his body chopped to pieces and then thrown into the fire.

Why did this all happen? According to the Muslim community there, it is not impossible that this was a form of hard knocks sent down by Allah to them as a result of their own actions (or inaction). Long time ago, Islam was so flourishing and made to flourish in Ambon and the Maluku Islands. But today Islam only remained as some kind of traditions, not ibaadah.

The Muslim community there equally participated in celebrating the Christmas and New Year festivities in a grand scale, whereas Christmas is the Christian celebration in commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ, while the New Year is the new year's day of the Christians, a continuation of the Christmas celebration. We are increasingly worried because there are so many people from among the Muslim community who are influenced by the practice of celebrating those festivals of the Christian religion.

This is the first photo of the soldiers of one of Afghanistan's SAS units. The SAS is a Special Military Forces or a military unit with special abilities. While this special forces of Afghanistan has also been specially trained by the British to “terrorize” the Taliban.

The six men make up the team called the Tiger Team, led by a special mentor from Britain. They are stationed in the Helmand province. They are specially selected for intensive training for three months and paid twice the salary of regular Afghan soldiers.

The source in the defense ministry of Afghanistan said: "They move very quickly and precisely, are able to identify where the IED have been laid and have no fear. They have saved hundreds of lives," as reported by the English daily The Sun.

The training of the Tiger Team began three years ago, and now there are hundreds of commandos who are greatly appreciated by British officers. Some of them have been working together with the American marines.

Are the Taliban afraid of all this? Apparently not! Last Wednesday, in one of the districts which became the center of Taliban resistance in the Farah province, seven mine tamers who were abducted by the Taliban group in Western Afghanistan have been beheaded. Meanwhile, on the same day the NATO announced the deaths of three soldiers in a Taliban attack.

While on Friday, a bullet unleashed by a Taliban sniper killed two British soldiers at once in Nad-e Ali, one of the most dangerous regions in Southern Afghanistan. It was revealed in a British military official investigation, on Friday (8/7/2011).

Both of the killed soldiers were known to be friends, namely Lewis Hendry (20) and Conrad Lewis (22). Hendry and Lewis were bending over behind a wall when a bullet slid towards them. Hendry was shot in the head. The bullet penetrated Hendry’s head and struck Lewis’s neck.

Lewis was pronounced dead on the spot, while Hendry was flown by helicopter to the air base in Kandahar. But Hendry died on the way, as quoted from Kompas.com.

What’s even outstanding, according to the intelligence that sniper is a 55 year old Taliban Mujahid, who went about on motorbike and used a vintage Enfield brand long barrelled rifle which is a British product, subhanallah.

The rifle was produced by the British and used by the Taliban to shoot dead British troops, this is what’s called a backfire!

With all the advanced technology owned by the enemies, the Taliban are still not afraid to stage their actions, tangible evidences were shown in their actions last week.

This Is Why They Rejected The “Pancasila”

Long before the affirmation of the Pancasila as the sole foundation of the New Order was criticised by Muslims, this Pancasila which was “extracted” by Sukarno also received stiff opposition from Islamic figures, whether it be in the early days of independence or during the meeting in the Constitutional Assembly, the meeting conducted to formulate the foundation of the State.

Islamic leaders in the Constituency fiercely opposed the Pancasila and proposed Islam as the foundation of the State. On the first speech in the Constituent, on 12th November 1957, a figure of the Masjumi, Mohammad Natsir as one of the founders of the modern Islamic movement in Indonesia and the leader of the only party (Masjumi) in Indonesian politics that took a clear stand against Sukarno, when he sought to move away from a democratic parliament, said that the political goal of the Masjumi from the beginning was to make Islam as the foundation of the State.

“Not only because Muslims are the majority among the entire population of Indonesia that are promoting Islam as the state foundation, but it is based on our belief that the Islamic teachings on state administration and community management can guarantee a life of diversity based on mutual respect between the various groups in this country,” Natsir explained. In a beautiful language, Natsir reflected the wish of the Islamic Ummah, “Even if it's huge, it wont knock over. Even if it's tall, it instead protects.”

In that speech, Natsir also criticized the Pancasila as an idea that originates from the human extraction, which is not rooted in religion.

“Even if there is a “Precept of Divinity”, the source is secular, "laadieniyah", without religion,” he asserted. For the Islamic ummah, Natsir said, making the Pancasila as the state foundation is similar to jumping from the earth as a foothold into the empty space, the vacuum, no air. It is because the Pancasila wants to be a stand-alone ideology, that is neutral of religion and is above everything else. Natsir said that the state foundation must be something that is already rooted in the society, and history has shown that Islam as the religion adhered to by a majority of the people in Indonesia, is sufficiently rooted in the society. Islam have a clear source, derived from the revelations, unlike the Pancasila which has many interpretations, depending on one's philosophical outlook.

Besides Natsir, Buya Hamka (a renown writer and ulama' in Indonesia), who became a member of the Masjumi said that the Pancasila is only acknowledged by a few people, whereas the majority of the Indonesian population adhered to the original foundation, i.e. Islam

“Islam is the the original foundation in our motherland and the true personality of the Indonesian nation,” he asserted. Hamka in fact said, “The Pancasila has no foundation in the history of Indonesia”. Hamka also rejected the argument that the Pancasila is fundamental to the spirit of the proclamation.

Hamka explained that since the 19th century, the struggle of the Muslims for independence was motivated by the struggle to establish a state based on Islam. The war inflamed by Pangeran Diponegoro, Imam Bonjol, Teuku Cik Ditiro, Pangeran Antasari, Sultan Hasanudin, and etc. to expel the Dutch colonialists, was aimed at realizing the aspiration of the state based on Islamic ideals.

“We are the ones who continue their wills,” Hamka asserted while calling those who betray the ruh of the former leaders as people who exchanged their (the heroes') struggle with the Pancasila.

The support for Islam as the state foundation was also delivered by the original constituent members of the Nahdlatul Ulama' (NU). KH. Ahmad Zaini for example, also doubted the Pancasila as the foundation that has a strong basis and if it could be made as a concrete reference for the life of this nation. Zaini said that the five slogans in the precepts of the Pancasila were really nice and interesting, but the Pancasila has no guidelines for practising its teachings with boundaries, as well as channels that are concrete. Due to that, Zaini said that the slogans in the Pancasila are difficult to prove in any concrete way.

Besides Zaini, other figures of the NU such as KH Masjkur and KH Saifuddin Zuhri also doubted if the Pancasila could be made as a concrete reference for a national and state life. Masjkur called the Pancasila as an empty formula without direction.

“The Pancasila will be the embodiment of the people who fill it. Supposing that The One and Only God, listed as the first principle in the Pancasila is filled by people or groups who acknowledge that God is a stone, then the The One and Only God will be filled in with the stone. When filled by persons or groups who deify the tree, the Divinity in the Pancasila will be filled in with the tree,” Masjkur asserted. While according to Zuhri, the Pancasila have many deficiencies due to the absence of an unanimity of thought. The Pancasila is difficult to be claimed as a philosophy and state foundation. Its highest position is as a political agreement for the existing factions of ideologies.

Of late, the speech by Kiai Masykur which said that the Pancasila is an empty formula without direction, where the manifestation of it is depending on who fills it, is evident. The Pancasila has been interpreted in exclusive and hegemonic ways by the rulers, for the interests of their power. Sukarno interpreted the Pancasila, so the ideologies of Nasakom (Nationalist, Religious, Communist) and the authoritarian Guided Democracy, were born. Soeharto interpreted the Pancasila, so the term “Pancasila Democracy” was born, a democratic system which bowled over the values of democracy itself, because the regime of Soeharto made the Pancasila as the sole foundation for the nation. The Pancasila has become a tool of the ruling parties to satisfy their political lusts!

The hunches of the Islamic figures on the ideology of Pancasila, that it is “hollow” and could be interpreted by anyone depending on his political interests and desires, is of late proven true. In the Indoctrination Mandate of President Sukarno given to the cadres of the Nasakom, on 1st June 1965, Sukarno himself uncovered the veil behind the idea of the Pancasila. With full confidence, Sukarno said:

“Brothers, of late I am also saying that this Pancasila could also be squeezed again in any other way, not in The One and Only God, Socio-Nationalism, Socio-Democracy, but can also be squeezed in another way, and this squeezing in another way is the Nasakom. The Nasakom is also the “juice” squeezed out from the Pancasila, consequently Nasakom as a matter of fact is also a true mutual cooperation, because mutual cooperation is de totale “juice” squeezed out from the Pancasila, therefore the “juice” squeezed out from the Nasakom is also the Pancasila,” Sukarno asserted.

A statement that increasingly makes this ideology able to be dragged to anywhere, interpreted into anything and in the end, it gives birth to a very “dangerous” confusion.

Allahu Akbar! One Soldier Killed, Five Others Wounded In Attack By Muhajideen of Abu Sayyaf

SULU, Philippines – A Filipino kafir soldier was killed while five others were wounded in a battle against the Mujahideen of the Abu Sayyaf in Sulu Province, Southern Philippines on Wednesday (6/7/2011), a military source reported, Thursday (7/7).

The battle occurred on Wednesday in Barangay Labah, Maimbung, when the Filipino kafir soldiers were deployed to carry out military patrol there, CBNNews reported.

They were attacked by around 30 Mujahids of the Abu Sayyaf led by Umbra Jumdail alias Doctor Abu, the commander of the Mindanao forces said.

The battle happened so quickly, around 15 minutes. It was reported that the Mujahideen of the Abu Sayyaf suffered no loss.

The Mujahideen split up into several groups and then managed to leave the location of the battle safely after launching attack.

The West's Fear Of Islam As The Third Force

Various ways are done by the West to weaken the spirit of the Islamic Ummah in struggling for the establishment if the Islamic Shari'ah. One of which is to fight Islam as an ideology and politics. The fear of the West on the prediction that the Islamic Ummah would become the third force (after Marxism and Capitalism) in the future, makes them paranoid.

The fear started when Dr. Edward J. Byng wrote a book in 1954 in German language entitled “Die welt der Araber” which was then translated into English (The World of The Arab) and after that changed into the Dutch language to become “De Derde Macht” (The Third Force). What's interesting was, the book contained forewords by the last Ottoman Sultan who had been impeached, namely Sultan Abdul Majid II.

In that book, it was explained that a time will come when there will be a revival of an ummah whose number reaches 400 millions. This group is made up of the adherents of the one religion (Islam), who inhabit an extensive area, that stretches from Tanger in the West (North Africa) to Irian (Indonesia) in the East, and the wide line is from the high ground of Pamir (Central Asia) in the North down to the Eastern and Southern parts of the African continent. It was mentioned that the ummah whose number makes up 1/6 of the world population will be going hand in hand with the existing world powers, to become the third force.

If America and its allies unite themselves in the Atlantic Pact, and then Russia and all its allies unite themselves in the Warsaw Pact, then the third force would gather together in the form of a “Pan Islamism”. It is that fear of Islam as an ideology that pushes the West to mobilize its forces to split up the power of the Islamic Ummah. It is proven that the Arab world today is under the armpit of America and have become it faithful puppets.

The Camouflage Of Moderate Islam

Some secular Muslim intellectuals – who obviously are parts of a network of foreign compradors – seek to give a poor image projection on the Islamic groups who are committed to maintain the purity of the teachings of Islam, by labeling them as hard-line Islamic groups or fundamentalist Islam. At the same time, the term “Moderate Islam” was developed – which obviously is liberal and secular – to be made as a match to counter and weaken the Islamic groups that want to struggle for the establishment of Islamic Shari'ah. The politics of “Devide et impera” (pitting one against another) was then used as a “potent move” to collide Muslims against fellow Muslims.

There is a fallacy in the way of looking by the people who do not like the Shari'ah of Islam. They create opinions, as if the Islamic Shari'ah is synonymous with violence, as it is associated with the implementation of Islamic criminal law, such as the death penalty for murderers (Qisas), murtad and rebellion, hand amputation for thieves, punishment of stoning for adulterers, etc.

A number of foreign observers who have interests on the global ideology such as Sidney Jones, are utilized in order to steer the public opinion into having a bad impression of the anti-Liberalism and anti-Secularism Islamic groups. Sidney Jones was also the one who did the misguidance of opinion by supplying data to a number of national media to give bad judgments about the movements of the Islamic activists who have been hardworking in struggling for the Islamic Shari'ah.

The paranoia of the West is increasingly reaching towards its climax when researchers from among their own are convinced about the rise of Islamic Ummah. W.G Palgrave said that the Islamic Ummah is like a man who stands composedly in his strong and solid place in the midst of turbulence.


Even in his book, “The Future of Islam”, Scawen Blunt made predictions about the rise of Islam. He put forward that there are four factors that lead to the rise of Islamic Ummah, namely: the ibadaah of hajj that is performed every year, the centralization of Islamic government called Khilafah in Turkey, the presence of the Holy Lands of Islam and the flaring up of the reformation movement.

The spread of Islam in European countries is a threat to the Christian and Jewish world. The fear is well-founded when the Muslim people got the opportunity to topple the local rulers one by one. The West feels that when Constantinople, which was the strongest bastion in the world at that time, fell into the hands of the Muslims of the Ottoman Empire, it is regarded as a trauma of history and is a very crushing and embarrassing blow.


Therefore, the first target to be done in order to curb the rise of Islam is to gang up on the Ottoman Empire in Turkey which was considered as the center of the Islamic world. Next, was to put out the reform movement generated by Jamaluddin al-Afghani and Sheikh Muhammad Abduh with their Pan-Islamism movement.

Lothrop Stoddard from America in his book, “The New World of Islam” (year 1921), asserted that even though the Khilafah had been overthrown, as long as Muslims are free to perform the ibaadah of hajj (pilgrimage) to the Holy Land of Makkah, the threat and danger to the West will still remain.

Another researcher of the West, Jensen, said that the anti-western domination movement has been evenly distributed throughout the region of Asia, from India to Indonesia. Due to that, it is not an exaggeration to conclude that the Islamic movement is one of the tremendous “world powers”, that is potential and different in ideological perspectives in building the social order, politics and economy, in fact even the world civilization.

When the West felt threatened, a series of plots was initiated with the aim that Islam will be unable to become an International force that could haunt and destroy a superpower country like America. When they failed to subdue Afghanistan, America and its allies started creating the issue of terrorism to the South East Asia, especially Indonesia. One of projects of the West for the Muslim countries is their desire to review the meaning of jihad, thaghut and khilafah.

Islam The Religion Of Resistance


The Islamic movement in Indonesia does not only want to maintain and continue its continuity with the history, but also to continue to preserve the Islamic Shari'ah. To realize these ambitions, there is awareness among the Muslims themselves on the importance of Islam as a system of life. Prophet Muhammad SAW and the Khulafaurashidien serve as a pattern and are made as the model and reference, and at the same time as the foundation of the struggle. As Islam is seen as an alternative, it consequently results in it becoming a threat to other ideologies.

When Islam is seen as a third force, and religion as not merely a set of sacred rituals and ceremonials but more than that, it will become a great power, as well as a spirit, the source of inspiration in the fight against oppressions. And when that oppression hits the Muslims, fellow Muslims around the world will feel the same wound. It is no surprise if the Muslims are the most reactive in resisting against the Western oppressions in the lands of the Muslims.

History has recorded, there have been many incidents of Muslim resistance in this of our homeland (Indonesia) when their dignity was trampled underfoot the strength of imperialism. Starting from the West Sumatera (1821-1830) which is better known as Perang Padri (Battle of the Priest) led by Imam Bonjol. And then the resistance in Central Java (1826-1830) known as Perang Diponogoro (Battle of Diponogoro). Not to mention in Aceh, which includes the Ciomas Rebellion(1886) and Banten Rebellion (1888).

With the emergence of the various Islamic strengths, starting from the movement that aimed at purifying the Islamic teachings with its Wahabi movement, to the movements that aimed for the unification of political awareness amongst Muslims with its Pan Islamism, Ikhwanul Muslimin, Jama’at Islam, Hizb Tahrir, JAT and others, it proves the existence of the ever-present Islamic movements as a breakthrough of ijtihad, capable of burning the renewal spirits of Islamic thinkers in order to reclaim the dignity of this ummah, in the middle of this chessboard and conflict between the Eastern – Western civilizations.

What should become the attention of every Muslim and activist of Islamic movements is, the need to understand and realize the weaknesses that leads to the delay in the rise of Islam, which among others includes: the lost responsibility of da'wah and jihad in this ummah, the lack of good tarbiyah, the separation of the ad-Dien and Siyasah (political) leaderships, the existence of the disease of Fira'unism, sectarianism and vested interests that led to the disintegration of the Islamic ummah.

The Islamic movement activists must understand the strategies of the enemies of Islam, such as the efforts to modify al-Islam by means of giving false pictures of Islam. For example, by interpreting the Qur'an using the method of hermeneutic, separating Muslims from the essential teachings, dividing and contrasting one group of Muslims against another group of Muslims. France24 Visited The Base Of "Palestinian Taliban"

GAZA – The “Palestinian Taliban” group was established almost two years ago in the Gaza Strip. The number of its members reaches 100 according to the amir of this group who sees the Taliban of Afghanistan as a movement that must be followed.

France24, an Arabic-language news website visited the base of this group and interviewed the amir who is referred to as “Abu Usamah”.

The amir was wearing a face mask with several armed guards around him.

After the group displayed armed activities, having pride in making anti-tank mines, launching standing rockets, they then talked about the formation of group, the objectives and mechanisms of actions, as well as lauding the leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mullah Mohammad Omar.

Regarding their military ideology, they believe in the need to target the interests of Israel in Palestine and outside of Palestine and this group also did not hide their hatred towards the American and European Military.

The amir of this group emphasized that there is a fine connection between them and the movement of the Taliban in Afghanistan. The Palestinian Taliban relies on its own funding and tries to produce their own weapons, and some of its members studied physics and chemistry to contribute in the manufacturing of rockets and IED's.

The Palestinian Taliban sees that the Hamas movement has left the path of the true Islam and that was how the Salafi groups spreads and increases quickly in the Gaza Strip, according to his statement.

This group expressed their deep sadness on the martyrdom of Sheikh Usamah bin Ladin rahimahullah and hoped that they would be able to respond to his killing and when members of the group, who were in the middle of training in the training center, were asked whether they can blow themselves in Palestine or outside of Palestine to attack the enemies, they very confidently said that they would do it if it can contribute in raising the banner of Tawheed. Allahu Akbar!!!
