A 12 month-old baby became the latest victim of the evilness of Jewish IsraelLast Monday (18/07/11), the male infant who had only lived for 12 months, named Muhammad Rami Ibrahim Nofal, breathed his last while doctors waited for the "permission" from Israel to bring the poor baby out from Gaza in order to obtain a more viable medical care.
The baby, who breathed his last in Khan Yunis, which lies to the south, has been diagnosed with severe heart abnormalities.
While Gaza relies heavily on health systems outside the region for a more adequate health services, Israel mercilessly applies a military blockade. The Jewish blockade forced the sick patients and patients who are in critical conditions to find a way out from the Gaza Strip.
The death of the baby makes the number of victims, who died from not being allowed to get out from the Gaza territory, rise to 337. The Israel's blockade is as well used as a tool for slowly killing Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip.
According to a report entitled "Holding Health to Ransom" which was released in August by Physicians for Human Rights, revealed that Israel is deliberately exploiting the fatal diseases as a way for them to coerce and suppress the Palestinian civilians living in Gaza, and also to spy on Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
According to the report, Israel deliberately prevents patients from leaving the territory. Patients who want to get out of the Gaza territory to receive medical treatments are only allowed to get out if they are willing to give 'something in return' to the Israeli authorities in Tel Aviv. That 'something in return' referred to is in the form of informations desired by the government of the Jewish state.
Indeed, medical treatments for the most helpless members of society, according to the report, are periodically made as a tool – either directly or indirectly – by Israel.
"I decide and enforce the rules, and you will see for yourself whether you are willing to do what I tell you, if yes, then I will allow you to go to the Ichilov hospital," thus the report quoted the speech of an interrogator to a patient. "Now, it depends on you, are you willing to fulfill my request and submit?"
Israel has launched the blockade against the Gaza Strip since the Hamas-led Palestinian government which was elected through an honest, just and democratic election, took over the territory in mid-June 2007.
Egypt, which is still hellbent that their border with Gaza is a transit point of Egypt-Israel, enforce the same against the Palestinians and keep on shutting the vital traffic line since 2007.
The blockade was still ongoing at the end of December 2008 – mid January 2009 when Israel launched its military aggression into Gaza, the measure was taken by Israel in order to prevent the efforts of the civilians who wanted to leave the war zone. Around 1400 Palestinians lost their lives in the slaughter under the guise of military operations.
According to the UN agents, the blockade imposed on the territory which populated by 1.5 millions people is increasingly tightened in recent months. (SuaraMedia)
