PATTANI, Thailand – Police said suspected Pattani Mujahideen had killed two soldiers and wounded 14 others in two separate attacks in southern Thailand.
Police Colonel Somporn Meesuk said the bomb blast in Pattani province had killed an army officer and wounded eight other soldiers.
Somporn explained that the bomb blast occurred when the military was guarding the monks at dawn on Tuesday (23/8/2011).Another police colonel, Kritsada Kaewjandee said that another soldier was killed in Yala province on the same day when a mine bomb hit their patrol.
