
SULU, Philippines – A Filipino kafir soldier was killed while five others were wounded in a battle against the Mujahideen of the Abu Sayyaf in Sulu Province, Southern Philippines on Wednesday (6/7/2011), a military source reported, Thursday (7/7).
The battle occurred on Wednesday in Barangay Labah, Maimbung, when the Filipino kafir soldiers were deployed to carry out military patrol there, CBNNews reported.
They were attacked by around 30 Mujahids of the Abu Sayyaf led by Umbra Jumdail alias Doctor Abu, the commander of the Mindanao forces said.
The battle happened so quickly, around 15 minutes. It was reported that the Mujahideen of the Abu Sayyaf suffered no loss.
The Mujahideen split up into several groups and then managed to leave the location of the battle safely after launching attack.
