JAKARTA - Surya Fachrizal, a journalist from hidayatullah.com who was involved in conducting journalistic activities with the kafilah of Mavi Marmara was reportedly one of the two wounded Indonesian citizens, as a result of the Zioinist-Israeli attack.
This news was conveyed by Team Medical Emergency Rescue Comittee (MER-C) after receiving news from a doctor who handled both of them.
"Oktavianto Emil Baharudin is reportedly still treated at the Barzilay Hospital, Askelon and Surya Fachrizal at Ramba Hospital, Haifa," president of MER-C Dr. Joserizal Jurnalis, told Hidayatullah.com.
Jose added that both of them suffered gunshot wounds. Meanwhile, as for the other WNI (citizen of Indonesia) who was earlier reportedly at the London hospital, Haifa, Joserizal still could not get the identity.
Meanwhile, for the evacuation of other WNI's who are detained at the Be'er Sheva prison, Joserizal said that MER-C still could not obtain the information. "We will despatch volunteers there again for the picking up," Joserizal said.
As is known, Surya Fachrizal joined the 12 WNI's who participated in the Mavi Marmara ship along with the other 700 volunteers from 50 countries, to conduct journalistic activities.

It is very likely that Surya Fachrizal Ginting, the journalist from Hidayatullah.com who took part in the humanitarian mission to the Gaza Strip, was shot by the Israeli forces from the helicopter. This is based on the analysis by Dr. Arief Rachman, a member of the Indonesian volunteers from MER-C, through the SMS to Republika, Monday (7/6).
According to Arief, Surya was shot at the top part of the upper right chest. As result of the shots, Surya suffered Hemato Pneumotoraks i.e. bleeding and inflamation of the organs in the chest. Besides that, Surya also suffered a fracture of the eight rib which caused the tearing of the liver.
"Based on the wounds he suffers, it is very likely that he was shot by the Israeli forces from the helicopter above," Arief said.
Arief objected the reportage by several medias which stated that Surya was shot on board the Mavi Marmara ship after the Israeli forces had descended from the helicopter, much less after the volunteers resisted the Israeli forces. According to him, those reportage was not confirmed by the eye witnesses or volunteers who were near Surya. "The reporting that says that the volunteers were attacking the Israeli forces was their own (Israel-ed.) version," Arief said.
As an example, Arief said, before the Israeli forces descended from the helicopter toward the Mavi Marmara ship, sounds of explosion and sequences of gunfire had already been heard. According to him, this proves that the Israeli forces had attacked the volunteers from the helicopter above.
