KABUL – A bunch of Mujahids who were ready to launch martyrdom acts carried out a well co-ordinated operation in the center of Kabul, Monday (18/1) precisely at 9.45 am. They targeted the presidential palace and a number of other governmental buildings, as well as the Bank of Afghanistan and Hotel Sarena.

They targeted the presidential palace and a number of other governmental buildings, as well as the Bank of Afghanistan and Hotel Sarena.
A battle erupted after a brave Mujahid launched a martyrdom operation at the front of the presidential palace building, his act managed to kill and wound 10 security forces who were on guard there. His act was followed up by five Mujahids led by Mullah Muhammad, attacking the Communication Ministry building and Hotel Sarena where the Mujahideen succeeded to take control of those buildings after paralyzing the guards, from there the five of them who belonged to a team targeted the Transport, Law and Finance Ministry and other department’s building including the Bank of Afghanistan.
On another side, a team made of four Mujahids, led by Mullah Musa were on guard nearby the buildings that had become the targets of small firefights.

After these two teams managed to dominate the situation, the third team led by Mullah Saifullah squeezed into the location of target.
Thirty minutes later, a brave Mujahid carried out another martyrdom operation by exploding a car bomb that he had driven, killing and wounding a number of high ranking officers and their subordinates who worked for the government. After this act, another attack was made that hit the military convoy that tried to stop the operation of the Mujahideen.
At least 31 Afghan military and police personnels were killed in the vicinity of the presidential palace and 22 other puppet soldiers were killed and wounded in the car bomb attack. Dozens of government vehicles were also damaged throughout this military operation.
In this military operation, some shops that are located around the buildings suffered damage as a result of the blind shots by the enemy forces who began to be getting pressured as they could not afford to stop the acts of the Mujahideen.
Around 20 courageous Mujahids had taken part in this operation, seven of them had met their Rabb (Insha Allah shaheed), they are Hafiz Humayun, Mullah Muhammad, Mullah Musa, Hafiz Ali, Saifullah and Nijat. 13 other Mujahids managed to seize weapons of the enemies and by the will of Allah, they returned safely to their base and ready to launch more upcoming acts, insha Allah.
