An Open Letter For The Leaders Of Hamas:
Ismail and Khalid
Saturday 27th December 2008, only two days to the new year of 1430 Hijriyah. At 11.30 am approaching the adzan of Zuhur prayer in the Gaza Strip, Palestine. At 15.30 pm the time the adzan of As’r prayer had just finished reverberating in Depok, Indonesia.
Without a warning, the Zionist Jew Israeli government’s Air Force launched 30 missiles into their targets in the Gaza Strip which destroyed a number of Hamas police offices.
This Israeli Airstrikes had caused hundreds of the Palestinian citizens to become shuhada and hundreds others were wounded. Some of the victims were from the security workers in Gaza. However, the rest of them are children, mothers and from amongst other civilians.
The Government Of The Zionist Jew Israel Is Obviously Committing Barbarism...!
They have broken all rules, even their own rules. Like what we all know, Saturday is a “Sabbath Day” for the Jews, the day where every Jew must stay silent in their own homes.
However, instead of obeying their own law, they in fact committed butcheries on the Sabbath day. Of course, they are already well known for breaking all available rules, but breaking their own rules when they must is still something they fear.
Thus what happened in the case of Madoff, the swindler Jew who did the swindling amongst the Jews. This is considered as a violation against their own law.
There is a consensus amongst the Jews that if one wants to cheat, please do it on the Ghoyim (the non-Jew) as long as it is not done towards other Jews. That is the reason that after the deceitfulness of Madoff was exposed, the Jews accused Madoff as anti-Semit (anti Jew)...!
Indeed by Allah, the Jew is currently inciting the quickening of the coming of Allah’s punishment upon them in this world before the punishment of Allah they would later received in the akhira...!! !

Allow us to deliver the greeting (salam) of ukhuwwah, greeting of salutations, greeting of jihad and the greeting of the dwellers of paradise to You from your Muslims brothers in Indonesia:

We the Islamic ummah from Indonesia are very sad and concerned with what is befalling upon Your citizens in Gaza specifically. The actions of the Zionist Jew Israel on Saturday yesterday only proved the truth of Allah’s words:
لَتَجِدَنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ عَدَاوَةً لِلَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا الْيَهُودَ وَالَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا
"Strongest among men in enmity to the believers wilt thou find the Jews and Pagans." (QS Al-Maidah verse 82)
We always believe in the truthfulness of the words of Allah Ta’aala above. We never believe that the government of the Zionist Jew Israel has an even a bit of intention of goodwill towards the Muslims.
What they were doing yesterday obviously violated all existing laws. In fact they had even violated the rule of the Sabbath day. Verily, by Allah, the Jews are inciting the quickening of the coming of Allah’s punishment upon them in this world before the punishment of Allah that they would receive in the akhira...!! !
We, the Islamic ummah of Indonesia are intensely following the development of events in the holy land of Palestine. For us the land of Palestine is a special country because of the existence of the Masjid Al-Aqso.
For us the land of Palestine is very special because of the presence of our Muslim brothers who are istiqomah and patient in performing the struggle in the frontline confronting the Jewish tyrants. Many of us are not satisfied with just being limited to giving do’a, funds, talks and writings in showing our solidarity with the Palestinian citizens.
Many of us are craving to be allowed by Allah Ta’aala to straight away leave for Palestine and unite with the Your ranks of fighters, sacrificing our blood and souls for the sake of raising the flag of Allah’s in the land of the Prophets and Messengers.

We are too jealous and proud of seeing the spirit of iman and jihad of Your citizens in Palestine. In fact we are even jealous seeing the spirit of hubb asy-syahadah (loving shaheed) of the Palestinian citizens.
We are so touched and jealous watching the news on TV when a Gazan policeman who were gravely wounded, lifted his index finger while enunciating the kalimah thoyyibah, the moment he received the honor of dying shaheed.
It is this spirit that is most feared by the enemies. They are even more scared of facing the Mujahideen fi sabilillah than Allah Ta’aala, the Ruler of the Kingdom of Heaven and Earth.
لَأَنْتُمْ أَشَدُّ رَهْبَةً فِي صُدُورِهِمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ
"You [believers] are more fearful within their breasts than Allah. That is because they are a people who do not understand." (QS Al-Hasyr verse 13)
We are so jealous and proud watching the patience and istiqomah of Your citizens facing the blockade and boycotts which had run for two years. We could not imagine how we could go through such a prolonged sufferings like what have been endured by the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Forgive us, in case we are absent from offering do’a for the people of Gaza even if for just one day.
We are also ashamed and angry watching the attitude or behavior of the leaders of the Muslim countries in general. The West of course could never be a place to place hopes on.
My Brothers, believe that the world in this stage of time is full of fitnah. We are in the midst of the gloomiest chapter along the history of the Islamic ummah’s journey. Allah Ta’aala is in the process of testing the patience of the Muslim people by giving the leadership of the world to the people of kuffar.
This is just a matter of alternation.
Allah Ta’aala destined it at this stage that we are experiencing the turn of defeat, while Allah gives the turn of victory in this world to the people of kuffar. This has been felt by the Islamic ummah since the collapse of our last proper statehood existence, namely the khilafah Islamiyyah in 1924/1342 H.
إِنْ يَمْسَسْكُمْ قَرْحٌ فَقَدْ مَسَّ الْقَوْمَ قَرْحٌ مِثْلُهُ وَتِلْكَ الْأَيَّامُ نُدَاوِلُهَا بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا وَيَتَّخِذَ مِنْكُمْ شُهَدَاءَ وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الظَّالِمِينَ
"If a wound hath touched you, be sure a similar wound hath touched the others. Such days (of varying fortunes) We give to men and men by turns: that Allah may know those that believe, and that He may take to Himself from your ranks Martyr-witnesses (to Truth). And Allah loveth not those that do wrong." (QS Ali Imran verse 140)
We are living in a godless civilization.
In fact we are in the process of seeing the strengthening of the establishment of the Dajjalic System. The system of the world in this stage of time has already been in such a preparation to greet its leader, the figure of Dajjal himself..!!! Dajjal is the highlight of the fitnah of the End Time.
Meaning, we at this stage of time are currently going through a phase where successions of fitnah are approaching the appearance of the pinnacle of all fitnah.
عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ ذُكِرَ الدَّجَّالُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَأَنَا لَفِتْنَةُ بَعْضِكُمْ أَخْوَفُ عِنْدِي مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الدَّجَّالِ وَلَنْ يَنْجُوَ أَحَدٌ مِمَّا قَبْلَهَا إِلَّا نَجَا مِنْهَا وَمَا صُنِعَتْ فِتْنَةٌ مُنْذُ كَانَتْ الدُّنْيَا صَغِيرَةٌ وَلَا كَبِيرَةٌ إِلَّا لِفِتْنَةِ الدَّجَّالِ
One day, the subject of Dajjal was mentioned in front of Rasulullah SAW. Then he said: "Indeed the fitnah that occurs amongst you is more feared by me than the fitnah of Dajjal, and no one could be saved from the successions of fitnah before the fitnah of Dajjal, except that he would be saved from him (Dajjal). And no fitnah created since the existence of this world, be it big or small, except that it is for the purpose of welcoming the fitnah of Dajjal." (HR Ahmad V/389)

The successions of the fitnah approaching the coming of Dajjal could already be seen in the reality of the world today. All the human life lines have been prepared to become a snare of full of fitnah that is ready to trap anyone.
Whether it be in the field of ideology, religion, politics, law, economy, social, culture, art, defense-security and military. All aspects of life have been dominated by the Dajjalic Values and are made to be further away from the Islamic Values.
In a situation like this, I am inviting You both as the leaders of the ranks of the Mujahideen in the land of Isra and Mi’raj to always have taqwa to only, and only Allah ’Azza wa Jalla. We believe that this had already become the principles that You have faith in or even applied all these while together with Your citizens.
We do not doubt it at all. However, with all due respect, we are too hopeful that it is this manner that becomes the one and only language that You use in your public communications and political communications.

From a distance, we scrutinized and paid attention to what You both had conveyed through the various press conference. We fully agree and are proud with what You both delivered.
There is only one annotation that probably could round off Your communiqué in the future. We are too hopeful that for the next time, both of You and all the arrays of Hamas leadership, to purely use the language of Islamic Da’wah during the press conference.
Leave behind the worldly language which was already commonly used by the ignorant world leaders today. Do not use a language the like of: "I ask the international community to break the Israel’s seige on Gaza."
It would have been more proper if for example it was said: "We do not ask anything from the international community. We only ask Allah the Al-Mighty alone to break the Israeli’s siege on Gaza."
Has it not been proven that the International world is evidently incapable of doing anything for the benefits of the Palestinian citizens? Has it not been proven that the leaders of the Arab and Islamic world today do not have enough guts to do anything significant for the benefits of the Gazan citizens?
And my Brothers, is it not the most important thing to teach the world population to purely worship Allah Ta’aala as the only place to put hopes and dedication on?
Isn’t it this thing that would forever cause the Mujahideen everywhere and every time to be willing in establishing the ’izzul Islam wal muslimin and humiliate, as well as defeat the kuffar enemy? O my Brothers the leader of Hamas, use the language of Islamic Da’wah only in greeting the coming of the real victory.
أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَنْ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَأْتِكُمْ مَثَلُ الَّذِينَ خَلَوْا مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ مَسَّتْهُمُ الْبَأْسَاءُ وَالضَّرَّاءُ وَزُلْزِلُوا حَتَّى يَقُولَ الرَّسُولُ وَالَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا مَعَهُ مَتَى نَصْرُ اللَّهِ أَلَا إِنَّ نَصْرَ اللَّهِ قَرِيبٌ
“Or do ye think that ye shall enter the Garden (of bliss) without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? they encountered suffering and adversity, and were so shaken in spirit that even the Messenger and those of faith who were with him cried: "When (will come) the help of Allah." Ah! Verily, the help of Allah is (always) near!” (QS Al-Baqarah verse 214)

The Islamic ummah is longing for the emergence of a leader who takes in the example of our Uswah Hasanah, namely Imam Al-Muttaqiin and the Commander of the Mujahideen, Nabi Muhammad sollallahu ’alaih wa sallam, in all his missions.
The ummat has long been made frustrated by the leaders who are tailing the kuffar people, including in their rhetorics. Therefore, fulfill our hopes. You are amongst the rare leaders in this era full of fitnah.
We pray for You and we together would extend the list of the real fighters in this modern era, such as Ahmad Yasin, Abdul Aziz Rantisi, Yahya Ayyasy, Abdullah Azzam, Sayyid Qutb and Hasan Al-Banna. We have seen the signs in your attitude and actions along with Your citizens all these while. Please top it off with Your speech.
May Allah unite us in the rank of the people who have obtained His pleasure due to having gone through it all, namely the Nabiyyin, Siddiqiin, Shuhada and Solihin. They are the best companions to have.

Defeating The Enemies Of Islam With Knowledge

Ignorant hearts ever ask, why Allah tries the Islamic ummah with wars, treacheries, starvations, persecutions and slaughterings at the hands of the kuffar? Why are these tribulations never-ending?
We always question, but we already know the answers and the conditions in order to get through those heavy trials. The previous Muslims had already fulfilled the conditions and they were successful, but we, who are more modern are neglectful and still seeking for answers.
Whereas Allah has already promised in His commandment which means:
“O ye who believe! If ye will aid (the cause of) Allah, He will aid you, and plant your feet firmly.” (Qur’an 47:7)
When will the help from Allah come? In the past, because of the excessive afflictions suffered by the Sahabahs alongside Rasulullah SAW, they pressured Rasulullah with a question: "O Rasulullah, are you not pleading for help for us? Are you not praying for us?" The blessed Prophet SAW who at that time was lying down, got up with his face reddened due to anger and said: "Know that verily the earlier people preceding you, some of them were buried alive, some had their bodies sawed from the top of the heads until they were cut into halves and there were those whose bodies were combed with sharp iron combs until they cut through their flesh and caused it to be separated from their bones, all those did not shake off their faith."
“By Allah, Allah will surely make this religion triumph until it spreads from Sana’a reaching to Hadhramaut and mankind at that time does not fear anything except Allah surpassing the sheep's fear for the wolf. But you are too haste (in asking for victory)” (Hadith riwayah Imam Al-Bukhari)
The anguish of the Islamic fighters all over the world following the bloodsheds and intrusions on Palestine should not lessen their fighting spirits to remain istiqomah in defending the religion of Allah from the evil scheming of the enemies, and much less to despair from Allah’s mercy due to being infected by the disease of being too attached to the ‘dunya’ and the fear of death.
The call to boycott American goods surely produced a very hot polemic that ignited opinions between “the supportive” and “the unhelpful” towards the call. Those who just lay back and deafen their ears, or those who merely sweet talk in protest without any further and true actions could be clearly seen through this tragedy.
It was actually a form of trial for the iman so that Allah would purify the ummah and select from amongst the ranks the chosen ones to be the fighters in His path and those who are excluded from the ranks, sit in fear, worry about losing the thrones, wealth and lives. Whereas, the akhira is far better and more everlasting, evidently this world has drugged the souls of mankind a lot.
Nevertheless, apart from the men who are ignorant, negligent and choose to sell the akhira for a cheap price, there certainly exists a group who are saved by Allah from the fitnah of the world. They are always raised for an important role for the sake of defending Allah’s religion.
They do not have to be in the open battle field, facing the guns, bombs and rockets, in fact they can follow the footsteps of the Mujahideen through their expertise in knowledge and technology for the sake of Islam’s future.
They understand the advice from the Qur’an commanding the Islamic ummah to be vigilant all the time, as wars will always exist whether in the open or silent way, not because the ummah is inciting the fire but it is the enemies who are always inflaming the ill feelings which could never be extinguished.
Allah says which means:
“Nor will they cease fighting you until they turn you back from your faith if they can. And if any of you Turn back from their faith and die in unbelief, their works will bear no fruit in this life and in the Hereafter; they will be companions of the Fire and will abide therein.” (Qur’an 2:217)
With the more sophisticated power of the kafir’s weaponry, the strategies and plan of the Islamic ummah must be arranged wisely and not in a hurry, in line with the hadith of Rasulullah SAW which reminded his ummah not to be hurried and impatient in their struggles. A long term plan that involves Muslim scientists and intellectuals along with the umara (leaders) and the entire ummah must be laid down.
The role of the umara, as Islamic leaders, should involve providing visions that are far ahead and plans that are accurate so that the ummah are able to stand at par with the Jews and Christians who have been more advanced so far.
Has there been any nuclear expert comparable to the American and Jewish scientists? What new technologies and discoveries have been explored by the Muslim generations? Are the national, political and economical stability becoming the main agenda for the leaders of different political outlooks?
How far have been the efforts to produce Muslim tycoons on an international level and to train educators, scientists and intellectuals in order to receive the transmission of knowledge from every window of the world as provisions to prepare for the future generations who are competent in every field of knowledge and on a par with other advanced nations.
It is so sad, historical facts listed 180 Jews who had won the Nobel prizes in a period of 105 years and only three Muslims had so far won it, in the ratio of 14 million Jews to 1.5 billion Muslims all over the world.
Then, how about the role of the ulama in encountering the waves of the Jewish and Christian revival? The ulamas must be more flexible and ready to open dialogues with people of other religions and faiths in order to present them true information about Islam.
The efforts to convey authentic Islam through a modern da’wah strategy must be made as priority. The slogan of ‘return to Islam’ should become a brand that could be sold in the world markets. Not only for the Islamic ummah but also for the others who still do not know about the beauty of Islam.
Don’t be so engrossed in prohibiting things and issuing fatwas that cause tensions within the religious community and ummah, as though being hostile and wanting to dominate using the power of the majority.
Didn’t Rasulullah SAW send his ulama ambassadors abroad to establish diplomatic relations and do da’wah to them? The humanitarian spirits must be emphasized more than the racial spirits and being blindly fanatic to religious belief. Islam does not in any way allow its ummah to enforce aqeedah on the other communities.
It should have been the role of the Muslim intellectuals to approach the orientalists who are studying Islam by way of muzakarah, having dialogues and discussions about Islamic facts with a spirit of peace, not hatred.
In the 20th century, the attitude of the orientalists varied, if before they were working for the benefits of imperialism and used the result of their studies as weapons to invade and destroy the Islamic ummah. Today, a lot of them behave openly, sincerely and independently in agreement with the diminishing imperialist power. If the ulamas do not prepare high quality books, as well as academic works for the purpose of answering the negative arguments about Islam, it’s impossible for these orientalists to find the truth and hidayah in Islam.
Examples of those who are famous are; Rene Guenon (Abdul Wahid Yahya), Martin Lings, Titus Burchhardt and Leopold Weiss (Mohammad Asad), Murad Hoffman and many others who are yet to say the shahadah.
The strength of the ulama's knowledge must be taken advantage of for the da’wah transmission by means of direct involvements in the da’wah arena, molding a da’wah struggle that has an authoritative bearing, conveying al-Quran and hadith in a beautiful way, not intimidating, much less oppressive.
Sometimes the mentioning of the words haram is more audible, making the ummah phobic and leave their religion, whereas the haram is less compared to the halal in our religion. In the end, ignorance is widespread in the generations that rejected religion, they consider Islam as an inherited religion for administering the matter of death, birth and celebration of its big days only but not capable of answering worldly problems.
Due to the negligence of the ulama and dai’e, a dangerous phenomena was born in the midst of the ummah, the birth of two Islamic generations. First, those who entirely let go of the religious ties and second, the traditional and intolerant camp who makes others feel religious issues as a burden to the extent of forgetting the true struggle.
If the kafir had already reached the moon and done research on the outer space war technology, the narrow-minded Muslims are still quarelling and at odds with each other about whose madzhab is the best in matter of ablutions.
The fanaticism to madzhab becomes the root cause of the disunity amongst the ummah, it is responsible for the backwardness of the Islamic ummah who are unable to compete through technology, economy and the strength of the kafir’s weaponry.
Whereas Rasulullah SAW had never asked his ummah to hold onto one madzhab only, did not the madzhab appear only after the death of Rasulullah SAW and nothing is higher in value than the validity of al-Quran and the hadith of Rasulullah SAW? Did not Imam al-Syafie forbid his followers to become blind followers and order them to prioritize the Book of Allah and Sunnah of Rasul more than his judgements.
The next role of the ulama and dai’e is to stand shoulder to shoulder with the umara to resolve the problems of the ummah. The attitude of the ulama towards the umara must be in accordance with the commandment of al-Quran and the hadith of Rasulullah SAW which means:
“I bequeath to you dutiful devotion [taqwa] to Allah, and paying heed and obedience [to your leader], even if he happens to be an Abyssinian slave” (Hadith riwayah Abu Daud and Tirmizi)
Amongst the weakness of the Islamic ummah is the removal of the feeling of love and mercy between the ulama and umara. How would the future of the ummah be if the umara let go of the religious ties in leading a state? And at the same time the ulama are distancing themselves from leading a nation and let errors happen until the religion, society and countries are harmed.
Wouldn’t doom occur if the duty of "amar makruf nahi mungkar" not done? The roles of the ulama alongside the umara is to give judgements, as well as issue fatwas in the spirit of ijtihad for the sake of the ummah’s success.
The ulama and umara should sit together to plan strategies to prepare a future generation that would fight for the religious missions. The absence of it would stifle the life of the ummah. Invasions into the ummah happen everywhere due to backwardness, poverty, ignorance and narrow-mindedness in thinking. However, it should be remembered that the main factor for the cause of Islam’s destruction is the ignorance of the ummah towards their religion.
Religion becomes the strongest defense in winning a struggle because it is an important foundation and the greatest motivator in fighting oppressions. Without religion, nobody is willing to die in defending Islam.
At times they are never scared of death, in fact they are even hoping to die shaheed in the path of Allah. They see the price of this world as cheap and therefore they choose paradise which is eternal, to be with their God.
The return to Islam has become a slogan which is commonly shouted out load, how far it would succeed depends on the roles of the ulama and umara as well as the attitude of the ummah which we hoped is willing to change. Is the revival of Islam able to be realized by the generation who look upon the West, with a capitalist soul and an appetite for liberalism?

“You would tread the same path as was trodden by those before you inch by inch and step by step so much so that if they had entered into the hole of the lizard, you would follow them in this also. We said: Allah's Messenger, do you mean Jews and Christians (by your words) "those before you" ? He said: Who else (than those two religious groups)?” (Hadith riwayah Muslim)

“By Allah, Allah will surely make this religion triumph until it spreads from Sana’a reaching to Hadhramaut and mankind at that time does not fear anything except Allah surpassing the sheep's fear for the wolf. But you are too haste (in asking for victory)” (Hadith riwayah Imam Al-Bukhari)
The anguish of the Islamic fighters all over the world following the bloodsheds and intrusions on Palestine should not lessen their fighting spirits to remain istiqomah in defending the religion of Allah from the evil scheming of the enemies, and much less to despair from Allah’s mercy due to being infected by the disease of being too attached to the ‘dunya’ and the fear of death.
The call to boycott American goods surely produced a very hot polemic that ignited opinions between “the supportive” and “the unhelpful” towards the call. Those who just lay back and deafen their ears, or those who merely sweet talk in protest without any further and true actions could be clearly seen through this tragedy.
It was actually a form of trial for the iman so that Allah would purify the ummah and select from amongst the ranks the chosen ones to be the fighters in His path and those who are excluded from the ranks, sit in fear, worry about losing the thrones, wealth and lives. Whereas, the akhira is far better and more everlasting, evidently this world has drugged the souls of mankind a lot.
Nevertheless, apart from the men who are ignorant, negligent and choose to sell the akhira for a cheap price, there certainly exists a group who are saved by Allah from the fitnah of the world. They are always raised for an important role for the sake of defending Allah’s religion.
They do not have to be in the open battle field, facing the guns, bombs and rockets, in fact they can follow the footsteps of the Mujahideen through their expertise in knowledge and technology for the sake of Islam’s future.
They understand the advice from the Qur’an commanding the Islamic ummah to be vigilant all the time, as wars will always exist whether in the open or silent way, not because the ummah is inciting the fire but it is the enemies who are always inflaming the ill feelings which could never be extinguished.
Allah says which means:
“Nor will they cease fighting you until they turn you back from your faith if they can. And if any of you Turn back from their faith and die in unbelief, their works will bear no fruit in this life and in the Hereafter; they will be companions of the Fire and will abide therein.” (Qur’an 2:217)
With the more sophisticated power of the kafir’s weaponry, the strategies and plan of the Islamic ummah must be arranged wisely and not in a hurry, in line with the hadith of Rasulullah SAW which reminded his ummah not to be hurried and impatient in their struggles. A long term plan that involves Muslim scientists and intellectuals along with the umara (leaders) and the entire ummah must be laid down.
The role of the umara, as Islamic leaders, should involve providing visions that are far ahead and plans that are accurate so that the ummah are able to stand at par with the Jews and Christians who have been more advanced so far.
Has there been any nuclear expert comparable to the American and Jewish scientists? What new technologies and discoveries have been explored by the Muslim generations? Are the national, political and economical stability becoming the main agenda for the leaders of different political outlooks?
How far have been the efforts to produce Muslim tycoons on an international level and to train educators, scientists and intellectuals in order to receive the transmission of knowledge from every window of the world as provisions to prepare for the future generations who are competent in every field of knowledge and on a par with other advanced nations.
It is so sad, historical facts listed 180 Jews who had won the Nobel prizes in a period of 105 years and only three Muslims had so far won it, in the ratio of 14 million Jews to 1.5 billion Muslims all over the world.
Then, how about the role of the ulama in encountering the waves of the Jewish and Christian revival? The ulamas must be more flexible and ready to open dialogues with people of other religions and faiths in order to present them true information about Islam.
The efforts to convey authentic Islam through a modern da’wah strategy must be made as priority. The slogan of ‘return to Islam’ should become a brand that could be sold in the world markets. Not only for the Islamic ummah but also for the others who still do not know about the beauty of Islam.
Don’t be so engrossed in prohibiting things and issuing fatwas that cause tensions within the religious community and ummah, as though being hostile and wanting to dominate using the power of the majority.
Didn’t Rasulullah SAW send his ulama ambassadors abroad to establish diplomatic relations and do da’wah to them? The humanitarian spirits must be emphasized more than the racial spirits and being blindly fanatic to religious belief. Islam does not in any way allow its ummah to enforce aqeedah on the other communities.
It should have been the role of the Muslim intellectuals to approach the orientalists who are studying Islam by way of muzakarah, having dialogues and discussions about Islamic facts with a spirit of peace, not hatred.
In the 20th century, the attitude of the orientalists varied, if before they were working for the benefits of imperialism and used the result of their studies as weapons to invade and destroy the Islamic ummah. Today, a lot of them behave openly, sincerely and independently in agreement with the diminishing imperialist power. If the ulamas do not prepare high quality books, as well as academic works for the purpose of answering the negative arguments about Islam, it’s impossible for these orientalists to find the truth and hidayah in Islam.
Examples of those who are famous are; Rene Guenon (Abdul Wahid Yahya), Martin Lings, Titus Burchhardt and Leopold Weiss (Mohammad Asad), Murad Hoffman and many others who are yet to say the shahadah.
The strength of the ulama's knowledge must be taken advantage of for the da’wah transmission by means of direct involvements in the da’wah arena, molding a da’wah struggle that has an authoritative bearing, conveying al-Quran and hadith in a beautiful way, not intimidating, much less oppressive.
Sometimes the mentioning of the words haram is more audible, making the ummah phobic and leave their religion, whereas the haram is less compared to the halal in our religion. In the end, ignorance is widespread in the generations that rejected religion, they consider Islam as an inherited religion for administering the matter of death, birth and celebration of its big days only but not capable of answering worldly problems.
Due to the negligence of the ulama and dai’e, a dangerous phenomena was born in the midst of the ummah, the birth of two Islamic generations. First, those who entirely let go of the religious ties and second, the traditional and intolerant camp who makes others feel religious issues as a burden to the extent of forgetting the true struggle.
If the kafir had already reached the moon and done research on the outer space war technology, the narrow-minded Muslims are still quarelling and at odds with each other about whose madzhab is the best in matter of ablutions.
The fanaticism to madzhab becomes the root cause of the disunity amongst the ummah, it is responsible for the backwardness of the Islamic ummah who are unable to compete through technology, economy and the strength of the kafir’s weaponry.
Whereas Rasulullah SAW had never asked his ummah to hold onto one madzhab only, did not the madzhab appear only after the death of Rasulullah SAW and nothing is higher in value than the validity of al-Quran and the hadith of Rasulullah SAW? Did not Imam al-Syafie forbid his followers to become blind followers and order them to prioritize the Book of Allah and Sunnah of Rasul more than his judgements.
The next role of the ulama and dai’e is to stand shoulder to shoulder with the umara to resolve the problems of the ummah. The attitude of the ulama towards the umara must be in accordance with the commandment of al-Quran and the hadith of Rasulullah SAW which means:
“I bequeath to you dutiful devotion [taqwa] to Allah, and paying heed and obedience [to your leader], even if he happens to be an Abyssinian slave” (Hadith riwayah Abu Daud and Tirmizi)
Amongst the weakness of the Islamic ummah is the removal of the feeling of love and mercy between the ulama and umara. How would the future of the ummah be if the umara let go of the religious ties in leading a state? And at the same time the ulama are distancing themselves from leading a nation and let errors happen until the religion, society and countries are harmed.
Wouldn’t doom occur if the duty of "amar makruf nahi mungkar" not done? The roles of the ulama alongside the umara is to give judgements, as well as issue fatwas in the spirit of ijtihad for the sake of the ummah’s success.
The ulama and umara should sit together to plan strategies to prepare a future generation that would fight for the religious missions. The absence of it would stifle the life of the ummah. Invasions into the ummah happen everywhere due to backwardness, poverty, ignorance and narrow-mindedness in thinking. However, it should be remembered that the main factor for the cause of Islam’s destruction is the ignorance of the ummah towards their religion.
Religion becomes the strongest defense in winning a struggle because it is an important foundation and the greatest motivator in fighting oppressions. Without religion, nobody is willing to die in defending Islam.
At times they are never scared of death, in fact they are even hoping to die shaheed in the path of Allah. They see the price of this world as cheap and therefore they choose paradise which is eternal, to be with their God.
The return to Islam has become a slogan which is commonly shouted out load, how far it would succeed depends on the roles of the ulama and umara as well as the attitude of the ummah which we hoped is willing to change. Is the revival of Islam able to be realized by the generation who look upon the West, with a capitalist soul and an appetite for liberalism?
Rasulullah SAW had already prophesized this subject more than 1400 years ago and no words were uttered by the blessed Prophet except pure truth:
“You would tread the same path as was trodden by those before you inch by inch and step by step so much so that if they had entered into the hole of the lizard, you would follow them in this also. We said: Allah's Messenger, do you mean Jews and Christians (by your words) "those before you" ? He said: Who else (than those two religious groups)?” (Hadith riwayah Muslim)

Exclusive Interview With DR Samih Abu Zuhair, HAMAS Spokesman.
JAKARTA – Saturday afternoon, 24th January 2009, Ar Rahmah media found a very precious opportunity of meeting with DR. Samih Abu Zuhair, the spokesman of HAMAS, at Metro TV. Along with the delegation from the Majelis Mujahideen of Indonesia (MMI), Ar Rahmah Media was given a very brief but precious moment to discuss with a figure who had become very “important” and extremely busy.
After introducing himself, Ustadz Abu Jibriel from the Majelis Mujahideen enquired on what kind of assistance could be given to the Muslims in Palestine, and how to ensure that the assistance provided would actually reach the intended recipienst there. Is there any way that HAMAS could be directly contacted for a direct assistance from the Majelis Mujahideen?
DR Samih replied that they have a representative in Damascus, Syria. There are a lot of HAMAS personalities and officials in that location and they could easily be contacted there for the said assistance compared to if they are in Palestine or other countries that had closed the access to Palestine.
Furthermore, DR Samih said that he would give the account number and maybe also his personal numbers to facilitate the process of sending aids from the Musilms in Indonesia.
Ustadz Abu Jibriel again asked about the condition of HAMAS, especially about the Brigade Izuddin Al Qassam who are conducting jihad against the zionist Israel aggressors, as well as stating his readiness to assist by sending Mujahideen there.
DR. Samih was so touched and said that he was very appreciative and thankful for having such caring Muslim brothers in Indonesia who are very concerned about the fate of their brothers and sisters in Palestine. In essence, the conflict in Palestine was of course not limited to the affair of the Muslims in Palestine or Gaza only, but the problem of all Muslims in the world.
Only that, according to DR. Samih, they are still, at this time, not requiring forces of Mujahideen in a direct way and the urgent requirements according to him are medicines, foods and other humanitarian aids for the Muslims in Palestine.

The Face Of The West

If the Islamic ummah wants to be advanced like the West, then it would become like the West and not like Islam.
One day, David Thomas, a priest and professor in theology at Selly Oak College, University of Birmingham, England was asked by one of his students who was Muslim.
“Are you happy with the Western civilization?” “No, not at all” he answered assertively.
“Why?” he was asked. Because, the West and the Westerners are advanced and developed not because of Christianity.
The boss of the chocolate factory, Cadbury, he said as an example, contributed millions of sterling pounds as funds for the development of the library at Selly Oak not because he was Christian but because he is rich and has excessive social funds.
The answer by Thomas had exposed the historical facts. The West is not Christian. Western historians like Onians, R.B, Arthur, W.H.A, Jones, W.T.C or William McNeill, generally considered “Ionia is the cradle of Western civilization” and not Christian. The Christian religion had been instead westernized. It was as if Thomas was trying to say that the West did not transpire from the view of a Christian life.
The sign could first be noticed when there was anger and protest against the church authorities. Religion was forced to sit agreeably in the church’s corner and was not allowed to interfere in the public space. Theological discourses could only be done in whispers. But anybody can shout out any anti-religiosity. Hegemony was replaced with hegemony. The West is a realm of ideas and philosophies.
Nietzsche’s exclamation of “God is dead” could still be heard to this day. In The Gay Science he said, “When we heard that “the old god is dead” we, the philosophers and “free souls” felt as if a new day is dawning on us.”
The death of god in the West was signified by the closure of the metaphysical discourses, the place where theology resided. God is no more a supreme being. Nothing is absolute anymore. Everything is relative. If you claim that something is true, then others do have to right to judge it as false. God could never be represented anymore. He is dead. The West is a realm of ideas and philosophies.
Why god needs to be killed? If Marx saw religion as “the opium of the the society”, Nietzsche considered god as “the tyrant of the soul”. Having faith in God means not being free, and being free means having no faith. Because having faith means one has to be able to accept orders, prohibitions and regulations that bind. The West is a realm of ideas and philosophies.
The history of the West is a history of “truth” seeking. But the seeking of the truth is more important than the truth itself. Seeking to seek, knowledge for the knowledge, art for the art. After “killing god” the West elected a new god, namely logocentrism or rationalism. Not satisfied with their new god, they elected liberalism. However, liberalism is now like the wick of a bomb. Those viewpoints that “disagree” must leave or be faced with the warning, “You are with us or against us”.
Liberalism brings ideas of multiplicities, equal representation and total doubt. The West is now a figure without a face. Or like what Ziauddin Sardar had said, a face with no truth, no reality and no meaning. There is no comfort in the truth. The setting for Western realm of ideas was ruled by Francis Fukuyama as “the end of History”.
The mid-century discourse of God-man & God-world relationship is not relevant anymore today. Humanism had dominated and sidelined theism. As a result, it produced a theology with no metaphysic, a religion without spirituality or even a religion without god. Theology (theos and logos) in etymology does not have the basis of godliness anymore. The terms theology of liberation, theology of emancipation, etc. do not concern God anymore. Religion for the postmodernism is no more than a grand narrative which was played around by linguistic games. The meaning of reality depends on the strength and creativity of imagination and fantasy. Feeling is everything according to Goethe.
The truth is relative and becoming the right and possession of every one. The truth is a verbal illusion that is accepted by the society and it is no different than an agreed deception. Ethics should be globalised so that no one feels that he is the best. Good and bad do not have to come from what God says, a human mind alone could decide it.
The West is a realm of ideas and philosophies. Just like the West, Christian, Islam or Hindu, they are all philosophies of life. Though the same, but the sameness is only on the level of genus, not species. Each one of them has its own characters and elements. If a philosophy of life is infiltrated by elements from other philosophies, then confusion would occur. Margaret Marcus (Maryam Jameelah), had in fact warned that if the Western philosophy of life finds its way into the Islamic belief system, nothing would remain in its original form. True, when the Western elements that are anti-Christian are borrowed by the Muslim youths, then the mouths that utter the shahadah (Islamic creed) would give off atheistic thoughts. God the Almighty could become “god the weak”, the holy and sacred Al-Quran is no different than the work of William Shakespear, because they both come from the mouths of a human being.
If the Islamic ummah is advanced like the West, then it would be just like the West and not like Islam. And one day the grumble of David Thomas or the cry of Tertullian (which is already becoming stale) of “What has Athens to do with Jerusalem?” would strike a chord.

Zionist Israel Admits Using White Phosphorous In Attacks On Gaza

By admitting to the use of white phosphorous now, the Zionist government likely hopes it will be able to avoid other charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity for its attack on the civilian population of Gaza.
The army’s use of white phosphorus – which makes a distinctive shellburst of dozens of smoke trails – was reported first by The Times on January 5, when it was strenuously denied by the army. Now, in the face of mounting evidence and international outcry, Israel has been forced to backtrack on that initial denial. “Yes, phosphorus was used but not in any illegal manner,” Yigal Palmor, a Foreign Ministry spokesman, told The Times.

Now, in the face of mounting evidence and international outcry, Israel has been forced to backtrack on that initial denial. “Yes, phosphorus was used but not in any illegal manner,” Yigal Palmor, a Foreign Ministry spokesman, told The Times.
The Israeli white phosphorus that burned Palestinian earth and sky recently should not be seen as a physical act of aggression alone, a chemical intending to burn skin and bone. It goes beyond arrogance, beyond any justifiable retribution that the Palestinians had invited on themselves. Like most of the citizens of the Gaza Strip, Laila –who had lost her husband in an Israeli attack (invasion) in Gaza- did not show any optimistic attitude at all after the completion of Barack Obama’s oath as the new president of the United States of America.
Laila Khalil (42 years) who was in a state of mourning over the death of her husband (may Allah Ta’ala make him as shaheed) in Gaza due to the Israeli airstrike, said: "Obama could never return my husband, Anwar, who was killed due to the Israeli bombardment, while I have six children whom I have to sustain alone, Obama could also never return my house which had been destroyed into smithereens in the town of Beit Lahiya in the North of the Gaza Strip."
"Not even a person cares about our predicaments. If we never believe in the Arab rulers, how could we ever believe in the President of America, who is always defending Israel," Laila, who had never worked before, said.

SBY, FPI & PALESTINIAN JIHAD

The move made by the President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) of sending aids equivalent to an amount of two millions Rupiah to Palestine is very good and praiseworthy enough, because it was also a form of care for the Humanitarian crisis in Gaza. However, the statement made by President SBY about the conflict in Palestine as not being a religious conflict is very regrettable, in fact it could even be understood as a cowardice statement which is slick and evil, as well as misleading due to containing:
1) the belittlement of the issue, from being an Islamic world issue to a local Arab issue.
2) the breaking of the Muslim brotherhood unity which was supposed to be like a “one body”.
3) the subduing of the Islamic ummah's spirit of Jihad which is in its burning state.
4) misleading opinions about the meaning of the struggle and sacrifices of the Palestinian citizens.
5) the running away from bigger responsibilities.
It was even more surprising that, when many of the world leaders, whether it be Muslims or kafir, competed each other in giving out stern warnings to Israel, President SBY on the other hand was busy suppressing the nationwide angers of the Muslim ummah upon Israel. He called for the citizens not to be “wildly impulsive” by performing jihad in Palestine, and he said that performing jihad would just add more burdens or problems.
As it turned out, the sending of those aids to Palestine by President SBY, which was initially given a “good” thumb sign by many parties, was in the end considered as nothing more than a "Glamorous Political Casting", especially with the fact that the total value of those aids was only 2% from the value of the corruptions charged on the parent of SBY’s in-law, Aulia Pohan.
It’s unbecoming of SBY, as the President of a country with the biggest Muslim population in the world, to give such a statement. In line with the UUD 1945 (Indonesian Constitutional Law) commendation, SBY should have been consistent in fighting to eradicate any occupation on the surface of this earth, which should have bounded him to have the duty of expelling the Israeli invaders from the land of Palestine and fully support the independence of the Palestinian nation as a sovereign state. SBY should have willingly sent the TNI (Indonesian Military Forces) to Gaza as a peace keeping force to protect and secure the Palestinian civilians from the monstrosity of Israel. But unfortunately, SBY is inconsistent. So shameful!
SBY should study about Islam more so that he will understand more about Islamic brotherhood which is not sectarian, but above sectarianism and has the quality of being transnational, which is not limited to a race, tribe, group, nationality as well as territory so that the every drop of Islamic ummah’s blood spilled barbarically by the kafirs would be more felt, whenever and where ever.
SBY must also exert more time and effort in studying about the meaning of Jihad Fi Sabilillah, so that he would not call it a “reckless” measure, much less calling it as a “burden of problem”. Jihad is a holy struggle, not a reckless act. Jihad is a sacrifice not a burden.
Or could it be that there was a hidden agenda played by SBY behind all these? Seeing that America as Israel’s “Adopted father” is still silent without a word about the brutal Israeli attack on Gaza – Palestine, thus SBY had to be very cautious about giving statements in order to secure the “special relationship” with America which also started to be made as the “Adopted Father” of Indonesia.
That assumption was based on a statement issued by SBY himself when he was still assuming the post of the Politics and Security Coordinating Minister in 2003, which said : "I love The United State with all its faults. I consider it my second country". That statement was contained in Al-Jazeerah English Archive 6th July 2003.
My hope is that, that assumption is not right, and my prayer is that, may SBY gain taufeeq and hidayah so that he could become a leader who has iman and taqwa. And I am confident that whoever becomes the ally of America and Israel, he will be destroyed by Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla.
It’s a different story with the FPI (Islamic Defender Front). The brutal and barbaric attacks by Israel on Gaza–Palestine have spurred the FPI to open emergency Jihad command posts (POSKO) in various districts in every corner of the Archipelago. As a result, some pro and cons emerged directed at the reactions of the FPI. The camp that is in the pro greeted and gave supports starting from the do’a, to the opening of the weapons access into the Gaza strip. While the camp that is contra received it coldly and showed their refusal from simply pouting to railing and cursing.
For the FPI, the opening of the Palestinian Jihad Posko in Indonesia had big meanings and benefits, amongst them are:
1. To become a spirit for the Palestinian Mujahideen and at the same time as a message to them that they are not alone.
2. To become a 'whip' for the Arab people who are living as neighbors with the Palestinians to immediately participate in Jihad in order not to be left behind by the Indonesian Mujahideen.
3. To become a warning message for the international community so that they won’t do whatever they like towards the Islamic ummah, where ever and whenever it is.
4. To become a specific message for Israel that attacking the Palestinian Mujahideen also means attacking the Islamic ummah in its entirety and it would turn into a very extensive and lengthy war.
5. As a proof of the value of Islamic brotherhood and unity, as well as solidarity in both sadness and happiness, in fact even in life and death.
6. As an assurance for the footing of an intention and intensity of determination to make Jihad as a way of life. To become an access door towards reaching the true Jihad.
7. To become a ‘knocker’ on the Door of Mercy so that Allah SWT sends down His help.
8. To become a channel for the mental training and wake up call for the ummah about the urgency of Jihad.
9. To become an important access door towards reaching the Pleasure of Allah SWT.
A lot of parties questioned regarding the issues of expenses and technicalities prepared by the FPI for the Jihad in Palestine: What is the costs of recruitment, training and dispatching the Mujahideen to Palestine? How is the access to Gaza? How is the access to weaponry? How are the battle experiences? And so on.
About the expenses, the FPI has The Enricher Who is The Richest, Whose richness is unlimited and will never dry out, He is Allah 'Azza wa Jalla. Meanwhile, about the technicalities, the FPI have the means which essences are: There are many ways towards Gaza. About the experiences, Alhamdulillah the FPI has alumni of Afghan, The Philippines, Ambon and Poso Jihad, in fact today a lot of Aceh’s ex-GAM activists are now joining the FPI and they are all battle ready to fight in Palestine.
Then, there was the comment: "Isn’t it better to send humanitarian aids in the forms of medicines, clothes, and food than sending the Mujahideen?" The answer is : Currently, all forms of humanitarian aids is very much needed by the Palestinians. The sending of medicines, for treating the wounded victims of the Israeli attack, is of course important and very good. However, which healthy mind approves the medical treatment of the wounded victims, whereas at the same time the villains are mutilating them and keep on mutilating them and the others, and even killing them, so would we let them?! Therefore, send the volunteers for the Humanitarian aids along with their medical kits to treat those who are wounded, and at the same time also send the volunteering warriors along with their war equipments to expel the invaders who have been mutilating the victims and will keep on mutilating them and the others, in fact even killing them, so that the process of treating the victims could be looked after, guarded and done properly
Lastly, I would like to remind all parties that whatever aids we provide for the struggle of the Palestinian Mujahideen, all is good and beneficial. And the best assistance is the one that comes from the sincerest hearts in seeking the pleasure of Allah SWT, even if it is only a do’a.

Israel, Palestine, Uncle Sam And The Arab Countries

Israel is truly barbaric and inhuman. They delivered a very painful Islamic New Year (1430 H) “parcel” to Palestine. Yet the Islamic nations are unresponsive! It is just so very sad that they are chained within the grip of America. It has been over two weeks that the Palestinians are showered by the Israelis with shells and bombs which are getting more and more brutal and cruel each day. It was not only the Hamas movement center that was attacked, but also schools, universities, hospitals and masjids – already more than 50 masjids had been destroyed. It appears that it had become the ‘specialty’ of Israel to give a painful and agonizing shock to the Palestinian citizens.
In reality, that shock was not only meant for Palestine, but the whole Islamic ummah. Because the Islamic ummah is “one body”, like what Rasulullah SAW had mentioned in his hadith. But what is the story with the Islamic ummah today? Various criticisms were launched as responses to the rains of bullets and bombs in Palestine. Only the Palestinian citizens alone had been truly reacting, the rest of the Islamic ummah could only criticize and condemn the Israeli acts. The rulers of the Islamic nations have really been infected by the disease of “wahn”, like what Rasulullah SAW had prophesized. Wahn, too much love for the dunya (world) and the fear of death.
The Bitter Reality
The Muslim countries could be proud for sending tons and tons of medicines and food but it should be noted that the Palestinians do not only need those. What they need is a direct involvement in the battle arena. Yes, this is the time for the Islamic ummah and the Muslim countries to show their solidarities, a concrete ukhuwwah and not a camouflaged one. That is the hope of all the people but unfortunately it is a bitter reality we are seeing today.
The Muslim countries are unconcerned. Do not ask about Saudi Arabia and the other Gulf countries, as well as the Emirates. They are already shackled within the grip of Uncle Sam. What can be expected from countries that are already sedated by the aids and backings from the raunchiest country in the world?
Egypt is the closest country to Israel because of the Rafah wall, which sadly is still not opened today. Even though the Egyptian ambassador to Indonesia had said that the gate had been opened, but the fact tells otherwise. To date, the opposition party from the camp of Ikhwan Muslimin (IM) is still demanding for the opening of the gate. Most probably, according to www.aljazeera.net (Friday, 2/1/09), a big scale demonstration would break out soon at the Egypt-Israel border, as a form of the ummah’s solidarity with their brethrens in Palestine. This is what needs to be done now! Do not wait any longer, open Rafah immediately!
Uncle Sam Is The Violator of The Basic Human Rights
The draft proposed to the UN by France and Egypt, as well as a few other countries so that a ceasefire would soon be achieved, was rejected by America. Don’t talk about the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), the most that they could do is to issue a UN resolution and it is no guarantee that they would punish Israel for the crimes and brutality they had committed. Israel is considered as the ‘golden child’ of Uncle Sam. In addition, Uncle Sam holds the “right to veto” along with the other four countries. All of them are from the West, and they are all Islam “haters”. What about the UN Secretary-General? It has no tooth at all and as if it is purposely preplanned, the ones who are elected as the UN Secretary-General are always from smaller countries, which are still in need of supports from Uncle Sam.
The time has come for the Arab nations to be united in defending their brothers in Palestine. Or is it too difficult to achieve? As each one of them is defending its own "ashabiyyah" (nationalism, chauvinism), just like what Ibnu Khaldun mentioned in his Muqaddimah. That is the disease of the Arab nations. It might be that they feel it is not their countries that are being invaded and destroyed. Let the Palestinians solve the problem of their own country. Or is it that the wicks of their logical reasoning are too short? To the extent that when all the Islamic lands have been destroyed, nothing could be done anymore!
We Must Beware
The Islamic ummah should be smart enough to read the situation. Isn’t the Taliban being crushed in a blitz by the coward forces of the Western countries? How many countries are sent to Afghanistan just to destroy the Taliban? The reason behind it all is not the “Taliban” per se, but because the Taliban is defending and struggling for the cause of Islam. It is the same with Iraq. How many countries had been asked by Uncle Sam to destroy the country of the “One Thousand and One Nights”. It was not because Saddam Hussein was despotic and tyrannic but because Saddam Muslim was going against the flow of the American interests. Also not because Iraq is possessing weapons of mass destruction, but because of the problem of Uncle Sam who is thirsty for Iraqi oil. The proof? George W. Bush himself admitted in the end that there was no WMD. Bush regretted in the end but it was indeed a regret that was made up.
Sometimes ago, America also started to look for trouble in Syria. Its jet fighters killed 10 innocent civilians. The excuse was a classic one! “We were in the midst of chasing terrorists who are hiding in Syria”. It was also the same case as Iran. Up till now the relation between both countries are still strained. Looks like Iran is going to be made the next Iraq, as the excuse for both is “nuclear”. It could be imagined that supposing (Na'uzubillah) Syria is destroyed, Taliban is scorched and Iran is wiped out, what else could be done by Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Emirates, Yemen, Jordan, much less Indonesia. No country would dare to come forward as a balancing power as all have already become the “slaves” of the West. All have become the “lickers” for the sake of palliative interests.
As Muslims we cannot despair for it is the attitude of the Kafir to despair, Allah has told us. We would like to see with our own eyes, would the Muslim-Arab nations still be quiet after seeing their brethrens being crushed from all sides? Or would they pick up arms without any delay and jump forward to reach Palestine? We do not want to be likened to the classic that says, “Ittafaqu ‘ala alla yattafiqu”, “The Arab-Muslim nations normally get together and agree with each other to “disagree””.
