Allah SWT’s Punishment Hovering Over America

.
The current economic crisis befalling upon the United States of America looked like it is worsening. The concern that it will spread to become a global crisis is getting more apparent.

An ulama of the Yemeni descendant who is a citizen of America, right away wrote a warning to the Muslims in America in his website. Imam Anwar Al-Awlaki even gave a controversial title to his article: “Is the Franklin morphing into the Washington?!”

(You can find the excerpt of the original text from his posting below)

Its core issue was; Imam Anwar warned us all about the danger of the possibility of the American government, under George Bush, implementing the policy of sanering (abatement of the Dollar value). Imam Anwar was worried if the value of a piece of one hundred US Dollar note is going to be reduced to become equal to the value of a one US Dollar....!

Therefore, Imam Anwar recommended the Muslims in the US to act anticipatively by buying gold and silver for the purpose of neutralizing their Dollars before the policy of sanering is taken.

Will this be the early step towards the realization of the importance of abandoning the paper money and returning to the Dinar and Dirham? Hopefully so...
______________________________________________

A Brief ta’aruf (introduction) about the Sheikh:

Imam Anwar al-Awlaki is a Muslim scholar who was born in New Mexico. His parents are from Yemen, where he lived for eleven years and received the early part of his Islamic education. Imam Anwar al-Awlaki served as an Imam in Colorado, California, and later in the Washington, D.C. area where he headed the Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center and was also the Muslim Chaplain at George Washington University.

He used to go back and forth from America to Yemen, where he was studying Shari’ah with prominent scholars, and he was later banned from re-entering the United States despite being a U.S. citizen. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University, a M.A. in Education Leadership from San Diego State University and was working on a Doctorate degree in Human Resource Development at George Washington University. He authored many popular audio series including the “Lives of the Prophets”, “The Hereafter”, “The Life of Muhammad”, “The life and times of ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab”, “The life and times of Abu Bakr al-Siddiq”, “The Story of Ibn al-Akwa”, “Constants on the Path of Jihad”, and more.

Is the Franklin morphing into the Washington?!

Posted (anwar) in Imam Anwar's Blog on October-6-2008

For those readers outside of the US who have no clue what the title of this post is talking about: Benjamin Franklin is the US statesman who is featured on the face of the $100 bill and George Washington is on the $1 bill.

Even though I am not an economist there is an issue on this topic that I would like to share with my brothers and sisters. Gold has been recognized as currency for thousands of years. FIAT money (Paper money) is a new invention and is only worth the political and economical strength of its issuers and the trust the world has in this political and economical strength. That is obviously the case with nations that issue paper money without gold backing such as the US.

Because the US economy is the powerhouse of the world and is the greatest economy on the face of the planet its currency enjoys the trust of the world. It has become the most recognized and it is the world’s foremost reserve currency. Today rather than commodities being valued in gold or silver they are valued in dollars. Oil for example is priced in dollars. In fact gold itself is priced in dollars.

The Messenger of Allah says: Allah has destined that whatever goes up must come down. Therefore if the US falls politically or economically the dollar falls with it.

Today America is the home of an interesting assortment of sins that are handpicked from all over the nations that existed before us: the obstinacy of the people of Nuh; the arrogance of the people of Aad; the rejection of Allah’s signs by the people of Thamud; the sodomy of the people of Lut; the financial deviance of the people of Shuayb as America is the biggest dealer and promoter of the interest based economy; the oppression of Abu Jahl et al; the greed, deception, love of the temporal life, and the bogusness of the children of Israel; along with the arrogance of the Pharaoh who had the misled notion that just because he is the leader of the most powerful nation on earth and is at the top the greatest army of his time he can somehow defeat the servants of Allah.

Brothers and Sisters this leads to the belief that the punishment of Allah is hovering over America. When? And how? Allah knows best.

So if you are one of those unfortunate folks who turned out to be living in the wrong place at the wrong time then it is advisable for you to leave. That is obviously if you take heed. Many don’t and are still living the utopia of the American dream. I am not talking about Mo and Mike who are still shaking to the tunes of MTV with their coke and big mac and are only Muslim by name, but I am talking about the practicing Muslims who sadly enough still think that the America of George W is the Abyssinia of the Negus.

Hijra for the sake of Allah will continue until the day of Judgment. If you leave with the intention of forsaking the people of sin and protecting your family from evil you would be rewarded abundantly. But not everyone has the capacity to make hijra just like there were some Muslims who could not make hijra from Makkah at the time of Rasulullah. So for those who cannot they should pray to Allah to make a way out for them and protect them from the people of transgression.

If you are a person whom Allah has bestowed wealth upon then you should avoid owning property in the US and you should diversify out of the dollar into gold and silver. Gold and silver have retained there value over history and there is no reason to think that they would not do the same in the future. In addition to this being the prudent thing to do from a financial point of view, it is also the recommended thing to do Islamicly. Muslims should not be supporting the economy of a nation that is fighting them.

Finally, for those who are contemplating purchasing a home in the US based on mortgage which is a clear form of Riba they should fear Allah. In addition to it being one of the most evil sins in Islam it is putting money in the wrong place. Allah says that He will destroy Riba. It is a promise from Allah. There is no blessing in anything based on it. What is happening in the US nowadays is a testimony to that.

From Koran, Sura 9:111 " Allah has purchased from the faithful their lives and worldly goods and in return has Promised them Paradise, the will fight for the cause of Allah and they will Kill and be Killed" Sura 48:13" And if any believe ,not in Allah and his Messenger, we have prepared for those who reject Allah, Blazing fire" So you see how peaceful Koran is? Don't believe the BS Muslims tell you. www.faithfreedom.org www.jihad-watch.org ssk

Anonymous,

If you are reading a novel, would you only read a sentence, without reading the previous sentence or the following sentence? and forget about the whole chapter, not to mention the whole book!

You're employing a deceptive manner to defame Islam. I could have done the same thing, but Islam prohibits us to be deceptive.

Here I am using the Bible and Quran to make a sample comparison between them, and see how the bible would sound like! Although, unlike Islam bashers, I have not quoted the Biblical verses out of context!

Jesus says: "I come not to send peace, but a sword." (Matthew 10:34)

Allah says (through Muhammad): "We sent thee not, but as a Mercy for all Creatures." (Quran 21:107)

Jesus says: "If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple." (Luke 14:26)

Allah says: "And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness." (Quran 85:14)

Jesus says: "Those mine enemies which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me." (Luke 19:27)

"If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned." (John 15:6)

Allah says: "It may be that Allah will grant love and friendship between you and those whom ye hold as enemies. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (Quran 60:7)

Jesus says: "Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division." (Luke 12:51-2)

Allah says: "And hold fast all together, and be not divided among yourselves." (Quran 3:103)

This is just a sample from New Testament. We are not going to Old Testament to embarrass Christian missionaries! Interested readers may want to go through some of the verses from OT & NT that are full of war, killing, stoning, burning, genocide, hatred, racism, etc. (Ezekiel 9:5-7; Numbers 31:17-18; 1 Samuel 15:3; 29:5; Deuteronomy 2:32-37; 3:1-7; 7:1-6; 13:6-18; 21:18-22; 22:25-29; 23:1-4; 25:1-3; 28:15-68; Joshua 2:8-21; 8:23-29; 10:28-43; Judges 1:21-35; 21:10-24; Matthew 2:16; Exodus 32:27; Leviticus 25:44-46; Matthew 15: 21-28; Deuteronomy 13:6-10; 17:2-5; 2 Chronicles 15:13; etc.).

Oh, I see, "prisoner of joy," so all those violent folks with bombs strapped on them who blew up innocent people in restaurants, busses, nightclubs, or flew jets into buildings were actually Christians, eh? We Christians are the violent ones, based on your reading of the Bible? uh,huh, sure! Very convincing!

Anonymous said...

punish you for advocating and carrying out acts of violence against innocents of what ever faith!
God is LOVE. He loves you so much that He will let you do your will and not hold you accountable until you die. He does not want to force His Love on you! Nature of course can hold you accountable before then. Man also.
God does not want you killing the innocent. "Thou shalt not kill"! Only legitimate authority, i.e. government may execute criminals after having a trial with defense.
Indeed Islam permits Muslims to be deceptive with and lie and steal from non-Muslims. Your religion is intolerant and totalitarian and irrational, since Love is not its basis.

You are taking those verses out of context. They refer to the detachment and otherworldliness a Christian must have from the world, not to physical violence or hatred. A Christian must have such a love for God that he will forgo even good things like having a family or wealth, if God calls him to it, in order to serve the Kingdom of God and attain heaven. God does not call every Christian to the above lifestyle, but in spirit we must always live in this detached manner.
You have the concept of jihad which actually is used very often in the spiritual sense. Where radical Islamists have gone off the deep end is to say that this struggle is physical and political, too.

True God, the Creator of all (including life), the Source of all beauty, and the Lord of all living things makes life sacred: “Nor take life - which Allah has made sacred - except for just cause. And if anyone is slain wrongfully, we have given his heir authority (to demand qisas or to forgive): but let him nor exceed bounds in the matter of taking life; for he is helped (by the Law).” (Qur'an 17:33)

and in another verse it says, “If someone kills another person, it is as if he had murdered all mankind. And if anyone gives life to another person, it is as if he had given life to all mankind”

Islam teaches love, kindness, mercy, modesty, moral manners and noble characters. No sane human likes war, so what do we like? Eat, sleep, work… work, eat, sleep, be with the children and wife, live in civility.

But at the same time, God the Just does not want the believers to be helpless and just surrender when their honor and dignity were being trampled over by the iron feet of the cross-worshiping, invading terrorists (so much so for a peaceful religion when history is colored with blood from their inquisitions, commercial slavery, extermination of the indigenous populations, bloody crusades and colonialization) and their women were slaughtered, and children maimed beyond recognition by chemical bombs, their houses and villages were destroyed, . So He also said, “To those against whom war is made, permission is given [to fight], because they are wronged;- and verily, Allah is most powerful for their aid…” (Qur'an 22:39).

Please don’t rely so much on the likes of CNN, Fox news, etc they are just the propaganda tools of the murdering and greedy warmongers, what they told you is always distortions of facts and very different from the reality on the ground, as is apparent from the knowledge you have about Islam. I suggest you please first learn the truth from reliable Islamic sources. You cannot make a judgment about Islam except after thorough and extensive study. It must be study based on fairness, impartiality, absence of any particular ideological prejudice. Please also get your news from the Independent Media linked here in my blog. Otherwise it’s of no use to entertain your comment. Any comment that reek of garbage will only end up in the bin. Peace out!

Have you read the book "The Enemy At Home" by Dinesh D'Souza? I would be curious at a Muslim's take on this. As most Americans I am trying to understand why Islam hates us so much. This book has provided some answers for me.
Thank you

Who are you really? You sound like Porky the Pig's dumber brother!

I am sorry for all of the people who feel they must use this forum to make insults. I am a Christian Pastor who wants to understand more about the mindset of Islam today especially as it relates to America. I don't know what the earlier comment about Porky the pig has to do with anything. I'm just looking for your perspective, especially if you've read Mr. D'Souza's book.
Thank you.

Dear Six,

It's ok. We muslims are already quite used to the hateful remarks and insults. We would not react in kind. We will pray for patience and ask for forgiveness. Knowing that life’s like a wheel… and people like you comforted us!

Regarding the book, no, I havent got the book in my posession yet. So I cannot comment on what's the Muslims take on it. But from the basic information i've got from internet about the book... personally for me, it sounds logical and intellectual.

Thank you for your reply. As a Christian I do not harbor any hatred of Muslims. I know that things are complicated in our world and there are not always easy answers. I want to treat you with respect as I would all men. I realize that all men fall short of the glory of God. I make no excuse for America. I can only try to serve here to make it a better country...sometimes just one person at a time.
If you ever read D'Souzas book please let me know what you think.

Dear Six

I will insha'Allah (God willing). The book has a lot of interesting and logical points but of course not everything in the book could be agreeable to a Muslim, yet this is understandable as obviously the book was written by a non-Muslim. In my opinion, the book would be better off illustrating its neutrality by leaving out the labels which are already liberally (ab)used such as “murderous” and “terrorists”.

Nonetheless, once again thanx for being such a pleasant person, Six. You are a gem! I am reminded of the verse that says, "…nearest among them in love to the believers wilt thou find those who say, "We are Christians": because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant.” Qur’an 5:82)

Take care!

I can appreciate comments from religionists on all sides of this issue since I am a student of comparative religion. Your remarks about the violence found in the Western Bibles, where Jesus calls for the execution of unbelievers, is no different from the Koran, where the Mussulman is enjoined to kill any "gueber" (non-muslim) he finds by the side of the road.

When will humanity finally realize that the causes of war and starvation are mental DIRECTLY linked to a belief in the channelings of madmen? Please note that the first symptom of mental disease is the "hearing of voices" in one's head. Hitler had this problem, as has nearly every other "madman-in-charge" on this poor planet.

Finally, don't feel too proud that Muslim banks are forbidden to charge interest (really?) on loans. The Jews have a similar law, honored in the breach.

I feel that Christians and Muslims have a common enemy: World bankers of the Rothschild persuasion. Although the jewish bank clerk Jakob Meier started this dynasty in Frankfurt, Germany, in the 1700's does not mean that his descendants are still jewish. For example, it is fairly certain that Hitler was fathered by an Austrian Rotschild.

So, those who hide behind a religion in order to achieve an agenda can be called by only one name: COWARDS. May they all rot from an incurable disease.

Prisoner Of Joy said...

Too bad you did not provide any reference as to where Islam enjoined killing non muslims but if it is the "Kill them wherever you find them..."? that you meant, then the problem here is quoting one part of this verse (2: 191) because the remaining part says "and drive them away from wherever they drove you away, for oppression is worse than killing." Therefore, this verse does not give a license to kill even idolatrous Arabs who are meant in this verse but only those who committed aggression and oppression against Muslims by driving them from their homes and towns without justification. So it is a case of legitimate fight against severe oppression which the Qur'an describes as "worse than killing".

The same verse also continues to prohibit Muslims from fighting near the Sacred House unless the enemies fight against them first.

If you continue in the same section, you will find that the next verse indicates that if the oppressors desist from fighting and aggression, then Allah is indeed Forgiving and Merciful. The following verse clearly states that the reason for fighting is "to stop oppression especially that the common oppression at that time which took the form intimidation, torture to death or murder of those who chose Islam. This is why the verse says: "until persecution is no more and the choice of religion is between the person and God". The same verse continues to say that if they desist (i.e. from oppression) then there should be no more hostility except against the oppressors…

There is a famous story in the Bible that mentions how one day some of the Jews were witnesses when Jesus raised a man from the dead. The man had been dead for four days, and when Jesus arrived, he simply said, "Get up!" and the man arose and walked away. At such a sight, some of the Jews who were watching said disbelievingly, "This is the Devil. The Devil helped him!" Now this story is rehearsed often in churches all over the world, and people cry big tears over it, saying, "Oh, if I had been there, I would not have been as stupid as the Jews!" Yet ironically, these people do exactly what the Jews did when in just minutes you show them only a small part of Muhammad's greatest miracle, ie. Qur'an and all they can say is, "Oh, the Devil did it. The devil wrote that book!". Because they are truly backed into a corner and have no other viable answer, they resort to the quickest and cheapest excuse available. Another Example of people's use of this weak stance can be found in the Makkans' explanation of the source of Muhammed's message. They used to say, "The devils bring Muhammad that Qur'an!" But just as with every other suggestion made, the Qur'an gives the answer. One verse in particular states:

"And they say, 'Surely he is possessed [by jinn], 'but it [i.e., the Qur'an] is not except a reminder to the worlds."

In fact the Arab pagans around the Prophet had already accused him of madness, as Allah mentions “And they [the Arab pagans] say, ‘O you to whom the Reminder has been revealed! You are most surely insane!”. Similarly the modern “pagans” of today still accused of such…

An objective study on the simple and humble life of Prophet Muhammad from A to Z, and the authentic teachings of Islam flatly disprove the notion that Muhammad used religion in order to achieve his personal agenda. Not only he did not expect anything of material benefit from their people but he also did not promise their people any such material gains. It is only the personality of the Holy Prophet who against all the promises of worldly gains, greatness, glory, or power says to the disbelievers: "By Allah! Even if you place the sun on my right hand and the moon on my left hand or make me the master of the entire Universe, I shall never deviate from my path". When he died he left neither money nor anything else except his white riding mule, his arms, and a piece of land that he left to charity…

Finally, as regards the Jews having a similar law of prohibiting interests; True the Jews also prohibit interest but only amongst themselves, on the other hand they also prohibit lending money without interest to a gentile. Whereas Islam forbids the Muslims to be involved in all forms of usury, be it giving or receiving, with Muslims or non-Muslims.

Just wanted to say....

Salut to prisoner of joy, and shame to the rest.
You debate him came up on your own logical view? didn't bring any of your evidence and reference? He strikes you with strong evidence and reference, yet you could not respond it and try to avoid it.
If you think what he stated it's wrong then hit him back with your proof and stronger evidence. Not just mock around with non-sense talking, don't be like an empty tank sounding very well, but nothing inside. Of course, I don't need to explain about it.
Prisoner of Joy arguments above you all so far, don't think so far as well. Didn't see any of you came up with proper way of intelegentcy.

Anyway respect to six, wise way
