Iraqi Ulama: "It's Haram To Coperate With The Invaders"

.
Sheikh Dr. Abdul Malik As Sa’di, one of the chief ulamas (kibar ulama) of Iraq issued a fatwa which says that it is haram to have an agreement and cooperation with the occupiers. The fatwa mentioned that the action is haram in a qath’i (absolute) way. Except in cases when the invaders are on the verge of withdrawing from Iraq and are giving the Iraqis full rights to administer their own country, it is allowed in this case.

Sheikh As Sa’di mentioned that Rasulullah (SAW) ordered his companions to write an agreement with the Jews of Madinah, as well as at the time of Hudaybiyah treaty. In situations other than these, namely when the Islamic ummah's power are suffering, be it in Mekkah or Madinah, he never ordered to write the agreement. The treaty must be built on the basis of strength.

And the agreement should not have any element of 'asking for help from the kafir' to maintain stability, and above all, not asking for assistance from the kafir in order to fight other Muslim. He (SAW) said, ”I do not ask for help from the mushrikeen (polytheists)”.

The weak Iraqi government today are apostates as they have formed a league with the kafir invaders. It is totally out of a sound mind for a muslim to cooperate with the evildoers, so as they could carry on with their crimes!

The Fatwa was released by Al Islam Al Yaum on Thursday (26/6). It also mentioned As Sa'di's recommendation that the government should abandon the agreement and not listen to the invaders.

“The Iraqis should not believe and trust the Americans who are openly lying to the world with regards to the WMD.”

Indeed asking for assistance from the kafir, is always haram, no matter what the conditions are, even after the occupation has ended, because asking for help from the enemies of Allah is a form of loyalty to them.

“O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.” He cited Al Maidah 51.(prince/Al Islam Al Yaum)
